Samsung has finally started rolling out Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) update for the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in India. The Galaxy Note 4 smartphone was launched in India running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) back in October 2014. It got the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update back in April last year. Now it has got the Marshmallow update directly, skipping Android 5.1 (Lollipop), after an year in the country. Samsung SM-C5000 C-Series smartphone with Snapdragon 617, 4GB RAM surfaces

Samsung CM-C5000, the company’s upcoming C-Series smartphone surfaced in an import listing few weeks back. Now the smartphone has surfaced in Geekbench benchmark listing. Earlier listing revealed a 5.2-inch display for the smartphone, but it didn’t reveal the display resolution. The new listing reveals details about the processor and RAM. Moto G4 Plus, the successor of last Moto G (3rd Gen) is coming soon and it will include a fingerprint sensor in the home button, according to @evleaks. Earlier this month an image of a Moto smartphone with a fingerprint sensor surfaced online, which could be the Moto G4 Plus or the Moto X Plus. Huawei VR with 360-degree sound announced

Huawei has introduced its first VR headset called the Huawei VR at an event in China. It looks similar to the Samsung Gear VR with a head strap and soft padding on the front. Huawei says that it is world’s first VR headset to feature 360-degree sound field, promising an immersive audio experience.

YU YU6000 surfaced in an import listing last month, now the YU YUREKA NOTE smartphone has surfaced online that reveals the price of the phone as Rs. 14,999 (MRP) and is also said to be on stores in some cities. It has a 6-inch 1080p display, 1.5GHz Octa-Core processor, 3GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back, similar to the flagship YU YUTOPIA smartphone. Google launches free RailWire Wi-Fi in 9 more stations across India

Indian Railways, RailTel and Google launched free WiFi at the Mumbai Central station earlier this year. Today Google announced that RailWire Wi-Fi is now available in 9 more train stations – Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Ernakulam Jn, Kacheguda, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam in India. Google said that Mumbai Central’s free Wi-Fi now serves more than 100,000 people every week, and the launch of Wi-Fi in these stations will offer access to over 1.5 million Indians every day. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, now in 150 towns in Kerala

Airtel launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi, Kerala back in August last year. Today the company has launched it in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, taking the number of its 4G towns in Kerala to 150. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the cities. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Google had announced back in October last year that it will be bringing Podcasts to Play Music soon and Podcasters can start uploading their shows to Play Music via a new portal. Even though the feature went live only for some users few weeks back, now NPR has sent out an email to members announcing that their podcasts will be available on Google Play Music, which will launch podcasts next Monday, April 18th. Meizu introduced the m3 note in China recently, which is coming to India soon. It is gearing to launch its budget m3 smartphone, successor of last year’s m2 smartphone soon. The smartphone that has been certified by China’s TENAA reveals a similar plastic body, 5-inch HD screen, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as its predecessor, but this will be powered by an Octa-Core processor and a slightly bigger 2800mAh battery.
