Samsung Galaxy S26 series go on sale; Galaxy S26 Ultra captures over 70% of global pre-orders

Samsung has officially launched its third generation of AI-integrated smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, alongside the new Galaxy Buds4 series, after the announcement last month. The new smartphone lineup includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra, which has reportedly accounted for over 70% of global pre-orders.

The devices became available at major online and mainline retail outlets in India starting March 11.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Key Features

The Galaxy S26 Ultra serves as the flagship model of the series, integrating hardware and software updates focused on processing power, privacy, and artificial intelligence.

  • Processor: The device is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, featuring upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities designed to support intensive daily usage.
  • Privacy Display: Samsung has introduced a built-in Privacy Display. This hardware-software integration is designed to protect on-screen information at the pixel level during everyday use.
  • AI Integration: The S26 series introduces context-aware AI tools. Now Nudge offers proactive suggestions, Now Brief manages event reminders, and integrated voice/button agents streamline task completion.
  • Camera and Editing: Updates to the camera system include Nightography video for low-light capture and Super Steady with a new horizontal lock for stabilization. For post-processing, Photo Assist allows users to edit images using text descriptions, while Creative Studio generates visual assets like wallpapers and stickers.
Galaxy Buds4 Series

Alongside the smartphones, Samsung released two new audio wearables: the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4.

  • Design and Fit: The series introduces a new “blade design” featuring engraved pinch controls. The physical shape was developed using computational simulations based on global ear data to optimize fit.
  • Audio Hardware (Buds4 Pro): The Pro model includes a wider woofer, upgraded Adaptive Equalizer, and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
  • Smart Features: Both models integrate AI agents and hands-free controls designed to operate in tandem with the Galaxy S26 series.

All Galaxy S26 models share a unified design language and are available in Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue. Pink Gold and Silver Shadow are exclusive to Samsung.com. The Galaxy Buds4 series is available in White and Black (matte finish), with Pink Gold available exclusively online for the Pro model.
