BlackBerry CEO already confirmed that the company will release two mid-range Android handsets this year, one with a physical keyboard and one with a full touchscreen. In a recent interview he also confirmed that the lower-priced device will be have a full touch screen. Now specifications of three upcoming Android smartphones –  Argon, Neon and Mercury have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. These were first posted in a forum last week.

Sony Mobile to defocus on India, China and US

Sony has announced at its IR Day 2016 in Japan that it will defocus in several markets including China, India, US and Brazil where it expects its smartphone businesses to shrink. One of the main reasons is that it expects FY15-17 CAGR smartphone growth in India, China, Brazil, Indonesia to be just 0.3%, instead of increase in 8.1% that was estimated last year.

RCom starts rolling out 4G services for CDMA customers

It even launched a new micro site and asked for suggestions from users before finalizing a name for Android N. Now it has finally confirmed the name of Android ‘N’ as Nougat. vivo has finally announced its X7 and X7 Plus smartphones in China, as it had promised. The X7 has a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display ultra-narrow bezels and the X7 Plus has a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 1.75mm ultra-narrow frame. Both these have a unibody metal design, 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture along with soft LED flash, 4GB of RAM and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 now supports Google Tango Augmented Reality technology platform
