Lava has launched A97, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphone with VoLTE support in the A Series. It has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). BlackBerry will stop in-house smartphone development, outsource it to partners

BlackBerry CEO John Chen today announcing the second fiscal quarter 2017 earnings confirmed that the company will end all internal hardware development and will outsource it to partners to focus on software development, including security and applications.  “This allows us to reduce capital requirements and enhance return on invested capital,” said the CEO. The 4GB RAM with 32GB storage version will be available from October 1st to 6th on LeMall at a discounted price of Rs. 17,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 22999. It will also be available at this price during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale from October 2nd to 6th. LeEco has also partnered with Amazon and Snapdeal, after selling their phones on Flipkart.
