The Web OS running HP Pre 3 was announced to come to come with a fast but single core 1.4 Ghz processor. Looks like HP had a change of heart after the slew of high profile Dual Core enabled handsets. It seems that the Pre 3 will now be coming with a Dual Core 1.2Ghz Qualcomm chipset. The chipset in mention is the Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz which also powers the WebOS based HP TouchPad Tablet.

If a report published in Yahoo Korea is to be believed , Samsung Mobiles might be working on a breakthrough cross-over device. The rumored Galaxy Q is said to come with a 5.3″ Super AMOLED display. Internal specs are yet unknown but we’d expect Samsung’s powerful Exynos chip to run the show here.

Google lifted the curtains from its latest redesign of the Android Marketplace app. The application now supports renting movies and purchasing books straight from the app itself in supported countries. Alongside , it brings a major overhaul in the UI of the application.

Over here at FoneArena , we are very appreciative of the work that is being done by Nimbuzz. An active support team which constantly listens to consumer feedback coupled with constant addition of innovative services has led to their roaring success. The service adds over 100k users everyday and has over 10 million active users from India alone. So when the company launched their Ping service in Indonesia earlier this year as we found out from our interview with Nimbuzz earlier this year, we were genuinely interested. The first Nokia Harmattan / MeeGo device , the Nokia N9 , has been garnering rave reviews everywhere. However there is one more MeeGo phone ie the developer only Nokia N950. Rumor has it that the N950 was supposed to be launched in 2010 as the first MeeGo device but got canned. Nokia has been handing these out to select developers to spurt the development of Qt apps for the N9 as well as the next billion Qt enabled devices.

The popular Nokia C5 just got updated by Nokia to bring it more in line with current gen phones. The spec bumps are minor but appreciated nonetheless. The phone physically remains the same and runs the same OS ie S60v3 but now gets to enjoy 256MB of RAM which is double of the previous version. The processor remains the same.
After a long time we’re seeing a flood of Nokia devices. A new addition to the line of leaked devices is the Nokia RM-571 which is believed to be named the N5. The device looks very much like the Nokia C6 and carries the design philosophy of low end devices like 5230. Expect this one to be cheap.

Nokia’s NDS Website has been found to have references to two brand new devices , the N6-01 and N6-02 hidden in the XML file. The files don’t contain much information but they do inform us that the phones run the latest Symbian 3 OS which is a major improvement over S60 5th Edition used on low end phones by Nokia !
Nokia’s gaming centric handset , the Nokia X7 is now available in India. We spotted a few units at the Priority Dealer where we could take a demo piece for a spin. The X7 comes with a 4″ AMOLED screen and runs Symbian Anna. The camera is an 8MP EDoF unit. The unit comes with a 8GB microSD card in the package and supports upto 32GB of memory. The phone has been priced at Rs 22,000.

Two days ago we got the Nokia N9 , yesterday the first Windows Phone running Nokia was revealed and today we get a glimpse at what could have been the first Android running Nokia phone. Once again the industrial design seems to be very much like the N9 which makes us think that the N9’s body was the base design on which hardware was to be differentiated.
The unusually stretched screen image is probably due to the extra 4 pixels of the 854 x 480 screen used by Nokia on the N9. Check out another pic below this time showing off the screen closer up.
Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review maintains that if Nokia’s WP7 partnership with Microsoft fails you can expect an Android device in 2012. Could this image be a depiction of the backup that Nokia is working on ?
Mere hours after Nokia’s MeeGo running N9 got announced , the first WP7 Mango running Nokia has been leaked. The device has been codenamed Sea Ray.
