Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS708C, their first Android Tablet with Dual SIM support. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with voice calling support and 3G connectivity through an external dongle. The HCL ME Y3 tablet that was launched in India earlier this year also has dual SIM support. Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 as the Note 510 for the Indian markets at the Samsung Forum 2013 in Hyderabad yesterday. We got some hands-on time with the 8-inch tablet at the event. It has a 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT Super Clear LCD display at 189 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor. Hyderabad, March 1, 2013 – Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 510 (Galaxy Note 8.0) in India. The Galaxy Note 8.0 was announced at the MWC 2013 last week. The Samsung Galaxy Note 510 comes with a 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Asus MeMO Pad 7-inch Tablet with Android 4.1 launched in India for Rs. 9999
Asus has launched the MeMo Pad (ME172V) in India. It was announced last month, and comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM8950 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 1MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 720p HD video capture at 30 fps and ƒ/2.0 aperture. It has non-slip diamond-patterned finish at the back. Asus also offers 5GB free ASUS WebStorage. Samsung India has cut the price of both their 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablets. The Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones got a price cut earlier this month. Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 2 310 in India back in May last year at a MOP of Rs. 19,500 and the Wi-Fi only variant, the Galaxy Tab 2 311 went on sale in India couple of weeks back at Rs. 13,900. Sony unveiled the Xperia Tablet Z in Japan last month. Here at MWC 2013 the company did not announced any new devices, but announced that it would roll out globally in Q2 2013. The Xperia Tablet Z has a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass and has unique OmniBalance design similar to the Xperia Z smartphone. It has S-Force Front Surround 3D, Clear Audio+ mode and two in-built speakers for enhanced audio output. It would come in 4G LTE / 3G and WiFi-only variants. Lenovo has unveiled 3 new Android Tablets, A1000 and A3000 with 7-inch displays and A6000 with a 10-inch display at the MWC 2013.
