HCL ME V1 Tablet Photo Gallery

HCL officially launched the ME V1, the company’s latest Android tablet in the ME series along with the ME U1 and ME Y3. Here we have a hands-on photos of the tablet. It went on sale in India last month, and features a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU. This tablet has a SIM card slot that offers 2G data connectivity. It is also capable of making voice calls and sending text messages. Zync to launch new quad-core Android Tablets by February-end


Zync has announced that they plan to launch five new dual-core and quad-core tablets in sub-Rs.15,000 price range by the end of this month. These tablets would have 7-inch, 8-inch, 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch displays, respectively. Zync launched the Z-990 running Androrid 4.0 back in March 2012, which was India’s first Tablet to run on Android 4.0. Since then they have been launching several tablets, with the latest being the Z99, a budget Android tablet with 2G voice calling support. HCL launches ME U2, ME V1 and ME Y3 Android tablets priced between Rs. 5999 and Rs. 11999

HCL has launched three new tablets in India running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The ME U2 is the successor of the ME U1 that was launched last year. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) multi-touch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. The HCL ME V1 comes with a similar 7-inch display, powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 CPU with GC430 GPU and has 2G voice calling support. The HCL ME Y3 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Asus MeMO Pad 10 press images surface, launching at MWC?

Images of Asus MeMo Pad 10 (ME301T), the company’s upcoming 10-inch Tablet has surfaced online. It is also reportedly on sale in Netherlands and Italy before the official announcement. The specifications of the tablet surfaced last month, and it was rumored to show up in CES 2013. This has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor similar to the Transformer Pad TF300TG that was launched in India back in September last year. Apple, Samsung top Tablet vendors in Q4 2012: IDC

Apple and Samsung are the leading Tablet vendors by shipments in Q4 2012, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). The worldwide tablet market grew 75.3% year-over-year in the Q4 2012, with shipments of 52.5 million, compared to 29.9 million units in the Q4 2011. Videocon VT71 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 4799

Videocon has launched the VT71, a new 7-inch tablet. It has a 7-inch ( 800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a VGA front-facing camera and packs a 3200 mAh battery. Videocon launched the VT10, the company’s first 10-inch tablet running Android 4.1 earlier this month. Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 Hands-on

Lenovo showcased the IdeaTab S2110 at the International CES 2013 in Las Vegas earlier this month, and we got some hands-on time with the device. It has a 10.1-in IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060A processor and has a 1.3M HD front-facing camera. Android tablets with a keyboard dock is already popular with the Asus Transformer tablet, and even this one from Lenovo includes a battery, USB 2.0 ports and a 3-in-1 card reader in the optional docking station.

Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 Hands-on

Lenovo launched the IdeaTab A2107, the company’s low-cost Android tablet in India earlier this month for Rs. 14,000. We got to check out the tablet at the International CES 2013. The 7.0-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) AMOLED display with 5-point capacitive multitouch display, 350 nits brightness is sharp and bright. It is powered by a 1 GHz MediaTek 6575 Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). At the top there is a 0.3MP front-facing camera and weighs 400 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 pre-booking starts, priced at Rs. 13900

Samsung has started pre-booking for the Galaxy Tab 2 311 (GT-P3110), Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 310 on their eStore. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was announced back in February 2012, and launched in India in May. It got the Android 4.1.1 update last month, but the Tab 311 would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 shows up in the wild

dday.it, an Italian site has managed to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 ahead of the MWC. First specifications of the Note 8.0 (GT-N5100) surfaced last week, and the Samsung CEO confirmed the Galaxy Note 8.0 for MWC 2013, earlier this week. The device in these grainy hands on images resembles the image that surfaced couple of days back, but this has a hardware home button, capacitive touch buttons for menu and back on either sides, similar to the Galaxy S3. Even this has a ear piece at the top, but the Samsung logo is present blow the ear piece instead of bottom. It would also have S Pen support according to previous rumors. Lenovo IdeaTab A2109 hands-on

Lenovo showcased the IdeaTab A2109 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas. We got some hands-on time with the tablet that is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The tablet has a 9-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD display with 16:10 aspect ratio which is pretty good. It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) and has 1.4 watt dual speakers and SRS WOW TruMedia audio enhancement for clear audio output.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 image surface, confirmed for MWC

First image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has surfaced online, specifications of the Note 8.0 (GT-N5100) surfaced last week. Samsung CEO JK Shin confirmed the Galaxy Note 8.0 for MWC 2013 unveiling yesterday. According to this image, Note 8.0 looks like an enlarged version of the Galaxy S3, which differs from the design of the Galaxy Note 10.1. It would include the S Pen stylus support similar to the Galaxy Note 10.1 (Note 800) and would also have a ear piece for voice calling, similar to the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (Tab 2 310). Sony XPERIA Tablet Z announced for Japan

The XPERIA Tablet Z which was rumoured to launch at CES 2013 has finally got officially announced for the Japanese market today. This sexy looking Android tablet is barely 6.9mm thick and weighs around 495 grams. It is also dustproof and waterproof to a certain extent. The display is 10.1 inches in size and features the Mobile Bravia Engine found on most Sony mobile products these days. The resolution on the display is an impressive 1920×1200 pixels.The design looks very similar to the XPERIA Z and ZL smartphones we saw at CES 2013.
