Opera 20 for Android brings WebRTC support for video chats

Opera has updated the  Opera browser for Android to version 20, that brings WebRTC (Real-Time Communications support) that lets the browser communicate peer-to-peer with encryption without plugins. This was first introduced in the Opera 20 beta for Android last month. This update also brings ability to configure UI layout to suit mobile phone or tablet, simple search feature that auto completes your search results, option select phone, classic or tablet layout and more. The discover ticker feature that was introduced in Opera 20 Beta has been removed, since it needed polishing, says Opera. Google has updated its Gmail app for iPhone and iPad to version 3.0, that brings the most expected background app refresh feature finally. This lets all your Gmail messages pre-fetched and synced, when you open the app. The background app refresh was introduced in the iOS 7. SpiceJet app exclusively launched for Windows Phone devices

SpiceJet, popular Indian airline, has launched their mobile mobile exclusively on the Windows Phone Store. The app has been available on the Store for over two months, looks like they have planned to officially launch it today. The app lets you  book tickets, check flight status and also avail special promotional offers. Nokia has partnered with SpiceJet to launch the app to Windows Phone Store.

Adobe Revel photo sharing and editing app now available for Android

Adobe has released the Adobe Revel app for Android devices. This lets you edit your photos with built-in tools such as Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12. It also lets you create a group library to share images. Adobe already has Adobe GroupPix for collaborative photo sharing and Photoshop Express for editing. Adobe Revel is already available for iPhone and iPad. Sony Socialife News app now available to all Android smartphones

Sony Socialife or Sony’s news app that comes per-loaded on Xperia smartphones, is not exclusive to Xperia smartphones anymore. The Japanese manufacturer has released the app on Google Play for all Android smartphones running on Android 4.1 or later. The app crossed 10 million downloads recently, which now has over 13 million downloads, says the company. Looks like it is still exclusive to Sony Xperia tablets. Google Now Launcher arrives on Google Play for Nexus and Google Play Edition devices running Android 4.4

Google Nexus 5, that was launched with Android 4.4 (KitKat) was the only to come with Google Now Launcher to directly access Google Now from the home screen. Earlier this month there were reports about the launcher coming too Google Play. We even saw APKs to side-load the launcher on other devices.
