Google has updated YouTube app for Android to version 5.5.27, that brings some features such as better search results, that now shows videos, playlists and channels, new tabs such as activity, videos and playlists on a channel and some bugfixes related to Google Cast. After successfully finishing the Kickstarter campaign with a back in December last year, VideoLAN has released the first beta version of the VLC media player in the Windows Store. It can play all the video and audio files, similar to the desktop version. It currently supports x86 and x64 platforms, but it would soon be available for ARM-based tablets running Windows RT, VideoLAN promised last year. The app is targeted at making security a more integrated part of the Indian consumer experience, says McAfee India. Pebble, the company’s behind the most popular smartwatch has finally released their app store for Android on Google Play. The Pebble app store for iOS was released last month, and a beta version of the Android app was introduced alongside. The company had been updating the Pebble beta app for Android with new features and fixes since then, and the Android Beta 11 was the most recent beta version, that was released earlier this week. Amazon unveiled the New Kindle Paperwhite back in September last year, and announced that it would get Goodreads and FreeTime features in a software update. The New Paperwhite got the these features in an update in November, but the company did not announce these features for the first Generation Paperwhite. Amazon has rolled out a new update (version 5.4.4) to the first generation Paperwhite, that brings Goodreads integration, Kindle FreeTime feature and more features, that were available in the New Kindle Paperwhite.
