Xiaomi Mi Community for India launching this month, beta test registration begins

Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Community in India on on June 20th. This will allow MI customers to share their feedback, participate in contests, take part in launch events in India and more easily. Xiaomi has already started beta test registrations, which will begin on June 14th. 500 Mi Community beta testers will get early access to new forum for Mi fans in India and other goodies.

After the Moto G, Moto G (2nd Gen) and Moto G (3rd Gen), Motorola decided to introduce the fourth generation smartphone in two variants, Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Jio Lyf Preview Offer invites being sent to users who signed up on Jio website

Until recently you required an invite from a Reliance employee to get a Jio SIM card along with the purchase of a Lyf phone to get a 90 day trial with unlimited data, calls and SMS to the soon to be launched Jio 4G LTE network from Reliance. The company has kept the Jio preview offer exclusive to its own Lyf brand of handsets. Initially, these devices were only sold at Reliance Digital stores across the country but few days back we reported that Lyf handsets are being sold at non-Reliance stores in open market, and it was possible to get the Jio SIM card along with the handset purchase for free and no invite was required. In an interesting development today, the company has started sending out invites to users who had signed up on the Jio website which went live last week.

New BIS issued battery norms may lead to delays in smartphone launches

New certification norms issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) require batteries used for devices and laptops to be separately certified. Reliance Jio 4G Speed test and VoLTE demo

We have been testing Reliance Jio 4G network though the Jio lyf preview offer for the past few weeks on a Lyf Water 1 device and also the Lyf Flame 1 device. The Jio SIM cards are locked to Lyf devices at this point of time. We even managed to get hold a Jio sim from someone working for Reliance so that we could do some speed tests on the network on high end devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 6s Plus, Redmi Note 3, Lenovo Vibe X3 and more.. We managed to test the network in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.  We managed to test the upcoming VoLTE feature of the network too.

Intex has launched Cloud Glory 4G, the company’s latest budget 4G phone. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, is powered by a quad-core MT6735M SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has dual SIM support, similar to most other Intex smartphones. Most of the specs are similar to Intex Cloud Fame that was launched last month.

LeEco Type-C CDLA earphones launched in India for Rs. 1990

LeEco introduced its new Type-C earphones in China back in April. Today the company has launched the earphones in India at the launch event of Le 2 and Le Max 2 smartphones. Both these phones use CDLA (Continual Lossless Digital Audio) technology for an enhanced audio experience and replaces 3.5mm audio jack with USB Type-C audio.
