Apple exits iPhone 4s and 5c from India

Apple has withdrawn iPhone 4s and 5c smartphones from India, as per a report from the Economic Times. The move comes from the company as it bows out of the sub Rs. 20,000 smartphone segment in the country to bolster its falling average selling price (ASP).

Celkon has launched CT111, the company’s latest budget WiFi tablet. It has a 7-inch WVGA screen, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. Snapdeal secures $200 million in funding from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Snapdeal has received a funding of $200 million Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP), Iron Pillar and other investors. The latest round of funding values the company between $6.5 billion and $7 billion, making it the second-highest valued startup in the country. Flipkart owns the top spot as India’s largest e-commerce company and values at nearly $15 billion.

Apple is gearing up for a technology development center in Hyderabad, its first outside the US

Apple is already looking forward to open its retail branded stores in India and is waiting for a DIPP approval. However, it looks like the company does not want to stop at that, as it is planning to set up its first technology development center outside the US in Hyderabad, according to a latest report from the Economic Times.
