BlackBerry Torch 9810 Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810. This is the successor of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 that was launched last year. The BlackBerry Torch 2 was launched in India this August. Both the Torch and torch 2 has similar design including the dimensions, but there are improvements in the display resolution and hardware. It has 8 GB onboard memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD and 768 MB RAM which is better than the Torch. It is 14.6 mm thick and weighs  161 g. Motorola RAZR software update brings improved camera auto-focus performance

Motorola RAZR is now receiving a OTA software update v65.1.21.en.03 (Asia Retail) while all are waiting for the ICS update. This update includes software enhancement to improved auto-focus performance for the camera and a bonus EA game “Bejeweled 2” (not available for Hong Kong and Taiwan) according to the official change log. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 (GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus) is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart and from retail stores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 has 7-inch WSVGA(1024X600) PLS LCD display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor and runs on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). It is 9.96mm thin and weighs 345g. Vodafone to provide free service for BlackBerry handsets in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh

Vodafone, in association with Research In Motion (RIM) is organizing a service camp at select Vodafone Stores in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This is available for all BlackBerry Smartphone users irrespective of their service providers and is available for free of cost. They organized similar service camps in Karnataka last year. Nokia India ties up with India Times for Nokia Shop – Online Store

Nokia India has launched an online store for its range of mobile phones called NokiaShop at nokia.indiatimes.com. The backend seems to be powered by the India Times shopping engine. I would assume the stocks are supplied by the Nokia distribution network as it is a joint venture and authorized by Nokia India. One of the highlights is the possibility to buy phones with Interest Free EMIs spread over 3 or 6 months. There is a Cash on Delivery payment option too for most phones and other payment modes supported are Net Banking,Credit Card and Debit Card.

Vodafone issues warning about unsolicited international calls


Vodafone customers have been receiving missed calls from unknown international numbers (looks like +22455104324) for the past few days. Vodafone has issued a warning note to ignore such calls and not call back on those numbers. Some have also reported that people are being charged Rs.45 per minute if they call back to such numbers. Aakash Tablet – Ubislate 7 Unboxing

We take a look at the WiFi version of the Aakash tablet also known as the UbiSlate 7. It was available for pre-order for Rs.2499 and those who had placed the order are finally receiving the device.The device is powered by a Arm11 – 366Mhz CPU and is not the fastest tablet out there but the price tag is pretty impressive. If you covert the pricing to USD it costs around 47 USD approximately which makes it one of the cheapest tablets in the world and carries the Made in India tag !
