Samsung Galaxy K zoom Benchmarks

The Samsung Galaxy K zoom is the latest camera-centric smartphone from the company that was launched recently. We already brought you the unboxing of the K zoom, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The K zoom is powered by a Hexa-Core Exynos 5260 with two Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz per core and four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz per core. Lenovo S850 launched in India for Rs. 15499

Lenovo has launched S850, a new smartphone is the S Series in India. It was unveiled at MWC earlier this year and packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Lenovo’s custom UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support and comes pre-loaded with Lenovo Premium DOit Apps (SHAREit, SYNCit and SECUREit) apps.

Disney India and Salman Khan launch Kick mobile game

Disney India along with Salman Khan have launched a mobile game as a promotional measure for its upcoming movie ‘Kick’. Available on Android the game includes a player that takes on the role of ‘Devil’ Salman Khan’s movie character. The iOS, Windows Phone and feature phone version of the game is also in the making and will release along with the movie.

Google has launched Google Maps in Hindi, in a bid to make them more accessible to users across the globe especially India. Available on Android and desktop, Google Maps will now show names of the cities, localities, important roads along with popular points and important places in Hindi.

Xiaomi has just announced the most expected Mi 4, successor of the Mi 3 that was unveiled last year. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 441 PPI, based one-glass solution (OGS) made by Sharp / JDI, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. It runs on MIUI on top of Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony BSI sensor, and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera win Sony sensor. It has a stainless steel frame, 67.5mm-wide body and weighs just 149 grams. Twitter apps for iPhone and Android gets DM history

With an aim to enable users to access their direct message history on mobile, Twitter is rolling out an update for its Android and iPhone apps. The micro blogging site is updating these apps in order to give its mobile app users a better way to manage their direct messages. Users can delete the direct messages from their mobile directly, thereby making the process more streamlines across all platforms.

Xolo has unveiled the A700s, the company’s latest smartphone in the A series and the successor of last year’s A700. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touchscreen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It is not clear if the smartphone would get the KitKat update. It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash, 720p HD video recording and a 0.3 (MP) VGA front-facing camera. LG has finally launched the LG G3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in Mumbai. It was announced back in May and comes with a  5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new flat UI. NVIDIA Shield tablet and wireless controller leaked, expected to launch on July 29th for $299

Last week press image of the NVIDIA Shield tablet showed us a glimpse of how the tablet will look from the front. Soon after that a new leak along with some images has provided more details about the specification of not only the tablet but also about the wireless controller. According to a number of promotional images, obtained by the website Videocardz, the Shield tablet is expected to be available for purchase on July 29.

Following the Canvas Unite and the Canvas Engage, Micromax have announced another budget quad-core device for the Indian market in the Micromax Canvas Fire A104. The device succeeds the very recently launched Micromax Canvas Fire A093.

Priced 6,999 INR, the smartphone is among the many that aim to take down the Motorola Moto E. It comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen along with a quad-core CPU, which along with Android KitKat and 1GB RAM make for the phone’s USP. With most Indian makers having a device in this range, it would be interesting to see how well the Canvas Fire A104 fares.
