Vodafone India today announced that it has partnered with WhatsApp to promote and educate users to use the app in local India language. Vodafone said that it is one of the first operators to start such an initiative and aims to empower its consumers to connect with each other in a language of their preference. WhatsApp is available in more than 50 languages, including 10 Indian languages and has over 200 million monthly active users in India. Reliance Jio has launched Asia-Africa-Europe (AAE-1) submarine cable system, the longest 100Gbps technology based submarine system that will stretch over 25,000 km from Marseille, France to Hong Kong, with 21 cable landings across Asia and Europe. “This large scale project is the combined work of leading telecom service providers from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia,” said the company. Gionee has partnered with Paytm and Reliance Jio to offer deals on its smartphones. Customers who bought select Gionee smartphones after June 16 will get up to 60GB of free Reliance Jio data under the ‘Jio-Gionee Additional Data’ offer.

Bharti Airtel is offering its customers 1000 GB of extra data on some of its broadband plans under its ‘Exclusive Web Offer’, according to a report by The Financial Express. Currently, the offer is available only to customers of Delhi-NCR who opted for Airtel broadband services on or after May 16.
