Nokia’s Android phones are here and they are real. They launched three new Android devices and a Asha and a Nokia feature phone each, with the Android phones being the obvious highlight. A few years ago, one would never have imagined Nokia going down this after, especially after February 11 happened, but here we are, going hands on with Nokia’s own Android devices. Sort of a dream come true for many, we scrambled to try and get some decent time with all the devices and so here are our thoughts about the newly launched Nokia X+. Intel unveils Z3480 64-bit Atom processor for smartphones and tablets

Intel has unveiled the company’s latest 64-bit Intel Atom Processor Z3480 (formerly Merrifield) for smartphones and tablets and has also detailed their 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Atom Z3580 processor for Android devices, code-namedMoorefield. The Intel Z3480 is a dual-core chip based on 22nm process technology. The Atom Z3480 has PowerVR G6400 GPU and is optimized for  Intel XMM 7160 LTE Modem. BBM made a lot of waves when it became a cross platform messaging service and arrived on iOS and Android smartphones. At that time, the only envious users who couldn’t get their hands on BBM were Windows Phone owners and now, looks like things are changing. ZTE Grand Memo II LTE with 6-inch HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor announced

ZTE has unveiled the Grand Memo II LTE, the successor of last year’s Grand Memo at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona. It has a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a  quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with ZTE’s own MiFavor 2.3 UI on top. Nokia X Android Smartphone Hands on

Nokia held a press conference at MWC 2014 with the name – Under the Tree and announced a Android powered budget smartphone that has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. Nokia X – Nokia’s newest range of budget smartphones, are powered by Android at heart, but use Microsoft’s services instead of Google’s services. Nokia X runs on Nokia X software platform which is a forked version of Android 4.1.2 Jellybean.

Nokia X – Dual SIM Android Smartphone Photo Gallery

Sony Xperia Z2 Hands On and Photo Gallery

Sony has announced its new range of Android products as well as its flagship device ie the Xperia Z2 here at Mobile World Congress. The phone is more of an iterative update than a complete reimagining of the Xperia Z1 and so manages to maintain the same design identity. The design continues to be a combination of glass and brushed aluminum and looks absolutely stunning. That said, the tempered glass back is also extremely susceptible to fingerprints.

Nokia has unveiled the Asha 230 and Asha 230 Dual SIM, the company’s most affordable Asha device at the Under the Tree event at the MWC 2014. It has a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, 1.3-megapixel rear camera, Bluetooth 3.0 with Slam sharing feature, micro USB, expansion slot that supports cards up to 32GB and packs a 1020 mAh battery. It runs on the new Nokia Asha software platform v1.1.1 with new Nokia Fastlane features, Nokia Xpress Browser.

Nokia X series to have free SwiftKey X keyboard

Nokia has just announced its first series of Android powered smartphones, but with a heavy layer of customization. Nokia are using just the Android and instead of using Google’s cloud service, Nokia are using Microsoft’s cloud service. In addition to that, they are also heavily customizing the UI which looks like a mix of Asha’s Fastlane UI and Microsoft Windows Phone 8 UI.

Sony Xperia M2 and M2 Dual with 4.8-inch qHD display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor announced

Sony Mobile just announced the Xperia M2 and M2 Dual at the MWC 2014. These phones have a 4.8-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing camera. It also has NFC support and also comes in LTE variants.
