ACT (Atria Convergence Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), popular for its Fiber Optic broadband has revised its broadband plans in Delhi in a year of launch. This will allow customers to enjoy higher speeds at no additional cost, said ACT. The Basic plan remains the same, but other plans have been upgraded. 100Mbps plan has been upgraded to 150Mbps at same costs Rs. 1,999 with 300GB FUP, compared to 250GB. Previously 125Mbps plan was the maximum for SOHO (Small office / Home Office) customers, now there are 150Mbps plans offering 50GB more data at same cost. Snapdeal has called off merger talks with Flipkart after almost six months of discussions and negotiations. The latest news comes just days after it was reported that Snapdeal board has approved $900-$950 million buyout deal. BlackBerry India has sent out invites for the launch of a new smartphone on August 1st. The company has also released a teaser video for the phone on its social channels that hints at the launch of KEYone with 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio, 4-row QWERTY physical backlit keyboard with keys that respond to touch gestures anda fingerprint sensor built into the spacebar.

The company has several smartphones including phones with dual rear cameras, and it plans to bring 3 or 4 smartphones to India first, but it is not clear what phones the company is planning to launch next month. India’s LTE installed base of handsets crossed 150 million units and is only behind China and USA now and is estimated to surpass the USA in next one year, according to a latest report from Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service. The Indian smartphone market contracted for the first time in its history, as shipments to the country fell 4% year on year to just under 27 million units in Q2 2017, according to the latest report from Canalys.
Axis Bank has agreed to acquire mobile payments wallet provider FreeCharge from e-commerce company Snapdeal for Rs. 385 crore. The latest deal comes just a day after Snapdeal board approved Flipkart’s $900- $950 million buyout offer.

Snapdeal has accepted Flipkart’s revised $900-950 million buyout offer, according to a latest report from Reuters. Citing two sources, Reuters stated that the board of Jasper Infotech, which runs Snapdeal, approved Flipkart’s bid of $900 million-$950 million last week.

Microsoft has officially launched Kaizala chat and productivity app in India. Available for Android and iOS, Kaizala is aimed at large group communications and work management. Similar to WhatsApp, users will have to use mobile phone numbers as their primary unique ID to use the Kaizala app that is powered by Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
