Vivo just launched V5s, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in the ‘V series’ in India, few months after launching the V5 smartphone in the country. It has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens. Facebook today announced new India centric features for its platform at an event called as “A place to connect” in Delhi. The social network is bringing India specific camera filters along with the frames and effects that come in the Facebook camera. Last month, Google announced that it will apply neural machine translation for translations of text in Hindi. Now, the company is expanding the neural machine translation for Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and Kannada. Introduced in September last year, Neural machine translation translates whole sentences at a time instead of piece by piece. LG just launched its flagship G6 smartphone at an event in India, as it had promised. It was introduced at MWC 2017 event in Barcelona back in February and packs 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, OIS 2.0, manual mode, 125-degree lens for secondary camera and a secondary 5-megapixel front camera with 100-degree wide angle lens.
In a bid to reduce its operational cost, Flipkart has tightened its return and exchange policy for major items on its porta. The homegrown ecommerce company will not offer refunds on an array of products like mobile accessories, personal care appliances, computer and camera accessories, office equipment, apart from high-cost items such as mobile phones, large appliances and furniture.

HTC today launched Vive VR system in India. This includes wireless VR controllers, room scale movement, and Head Mounted Display featuring a built in camera. “To celebrate Vive’s India launch, Indian consumers can enjoy free shipping when they order Vive from Amazon.in as well as two fully-fledged VR experiences, Everest VR and Richie’s Plank Experience,” said HTC.
