AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 3D V-Cache announced; Ryzen 7000 series ‘Zen 4’ 5nm CPU with DDR5, PCIe 5.0, AM5 platform in H2 2022

After teasing back in October, AMD today introduced the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the company’s first desktop processor with AMD 3D V-Cache technology. It is still based on “Zen 3” core architecture, and the company claims that it is the world’s fastest gaming processor that offers an average of 5% faster 1080p gaming across select titles than the competition. LG introduces world’s biggest 97-inch 4K OLED TV, smallest 42-inch C2 4K OLED TV, new 86-inch 8K QNED Mini LED TV and more

At the CES 2022 today, LG introduced its new OLED and QNED Mini LED lineup. This includes the world’s biggest 97-inch OLED model in the LG’s 2022 G2 series and the world’s smallest 42-inch OLED TV. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G with 6.4-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Android 12, IP68 water-resistant body announced

Samsung just announced the Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition), the company’s latest mid-range S series, as expected. It packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Flat Display with 120Hz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 888 in the US and Europe, but comes with Exynos 2100 SoC in the Asian markets. It has support for 5G SA/NSA, up to 8GB RAM, features an in-display Optical Fingerprint Scanner, and runs Android 12 out of the box. Samsung introduces new Neo QLED 4K and 8K TVs with 144Hz refresh rate; to bring NFT support to select 2022 models

Ahead of CES later this week, Samsung has introduced new MICRO LED, Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs. This includes the new Neo QLED 4K and 8K TVs with support for up to 144Hz refresh rate compared to 120Hz in the older models. These also support AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro, and all HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1 and support 4K 120Hz. Samsung introduces world’s first 4K 240Hz Mini LED 1000R curved screen monitor with 1ms response time

Samsung has introduced Odyssey Neo G8, which the company says is the world’s first monitor to feature a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) 1000R curved screen with 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (GtG). It also introduced  Smart Monitor M8, successor to last year’s M7 model and Samsung High Resolution Monitor S8 for creators and designers. HDMI 2.1a with Source-Based Tone Mapping to be announced at CES 2022

HDMI 2.1 was introduced back in 2017 with several features  including 4K@120Hz, 8K@60Hz, Dynamic HDR and bandwidth capability of up to 48Gbps. At the CES 2021 earlier this year, the HDMI forum highlighted new products with support for HDMI 2.1. Today, according to a new report from The Verge, the HDMI forum will introduce the HDMI 2.1a, the next generation of HDMI spec at the CES 2022. LG Virtual Ride and Media Chair concept devices with OLED displays to be showcased at CES 2022

LG Display will showcase various innovative products with OLED solutions, and LCD screens designed for the IT industry at CES 2022. It will also showcase a couple of new product concepts – Virtual Ride, and Media Chair at the upcoming CES 2022. Both these concept products will make use of flexible OLED displays. With these products, the Korean tech giant wants to showcase the potential and versatility of flexible OLED screens.

Google, Twitter, Lenovo, Intel, Meta and others cancel in-person CES 2022 presence

Earlier this week, Consumer Technology Association announced that CES 2022 will take place in person on January 5-8 in Las Vega as planned. Following the announcement, several companies including Google, Twitter, Lenovo, Intel, Meta and T-Mobile have backed out of the in-person presence at the CES due to the public health concerns related to the pandemic situation. Samsung’s 2022 4K and 8K TVs and gaming monitors to support HDR10+ GAMING

Samsung has announced an all-new HDR format – HDR10+ Gaming, in an attempt to offer an immersive gaming experience. This will enable accurate HDR gameplay with low latency and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The company will unveil HDR gameplay at the upcoming CES 2022. It will also release a list of 4K and 8K game titles – powered by NVIDIA GPUs.
