Xolo just launched BLACK 1X, its second BLACK series smartphone, as it promised last week. It packs a 5-inch 1080p display with Asahi Dragon trail Glass protection, is powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with HIVE Atlas UI on top. Xolo has promised that it will be upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in future, but no details about the time frame yet. Xolo has sent out invite for the launch its new BLACK series smartphone that will called the BLACK 1X. The invite doesn’t reveal any details about the new BLACK series smartphone. The company will unveil the smartphone on Twitter (@MyXOLO) on October 28th from 12PM to 1PM, similar to what it did for the Omega series smartphones back in December last year. We reviewed the Xolo Black recently, which is the first smartphone in Xolo’s online-only Black series. Here we have the battery life test results of the smartphone. The Xolo Black packs a built-in 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery. It supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 1.0 that lets you charge 50% of battery in just 60 minutes. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and is powered by a 2nd generation Snapdragon 615 SoC. Let’s check out the results.
XOLO Black is the first smartphone from XOLO that is part of the Black series of smartphones that are aimed at online retail markets. Calling the series Black and the smartphone Black as well makes it quite confusing for the customer and it will become more so when it is time to launch the next phone in the Black series. That is expected to be sometime soon as the company did state that it has plans to launch around 4 devices per year. We aren’t sure what naming scheme the company plans for the upcoming devices but what we do know is what the XOLO Black offers and it seems to offer plenty judging by its specifications sheet. It is powered by a second-generation Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.1 GHz per core. Xolo just launched its first smartphone under BLACK sub-brand. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 2nd-gen Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HIVE Atlas UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for depth mapping that lets you click the image first and adjust the focus later. Xolo is calling this UbiFocus. It can focus in 0.15 seconds and the ChromaFlash lets you retain original color and skin tone even in low-lighting conditions, says the company. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.
