Xolo launched the BLACK 1X, the company’s latest smartphone in the BLACK series earlier today, priced at Rs. 9999. It will go on sale on Snapdeal through flash sale starting from November 6th. We got our hands on the smartphone, here is the unboxing and first impressions of the smartphone.

The XOLO BLACK 1X has a 5-inch 1080p On-Cell Full Lamination display with 80% NTSC color gamut and also has Asahi Dragon trail Glass protection. This display is bright and has good viewing angles. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor with 450MHz Mali-T720 MP3 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Xolo’s own HIVE UI on top. Xolo has also promised to offer Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone, but it doesn’t say when it will roll out.
It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, similar to the first BLACK smartphone.
There are the usual set of menu, home and back keys below the screen on a black bezel. These are not backlit, but offer haptic feedback.
The back has fiber glass finish so it attracts fingerprints easily, but it has solid build quality. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the back with LED Flash , Samsung 3M2 sensor and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that lets you focus in just 0.15 seconds, says the company. It has 2400 mAh built-in Li-Polymer battery. It weighs just 125 grams.
The micro USB slot is present on the bottom along with a microphone hole. It also has USB OTG support. It has leather-like finish on the top and the bottom. Even though there are two grills only the grill on the left side is the actual loudspeaker grill.
The 3.5mm audio jack is present on the top.
It packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with expansion slot, which accepts cards up to 128GB. It has a hybrid dual SIM slot on the right side that lets you use the second SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot when required. The smartphone is just 7.6mm thick.
The volume rockers and the power button are present on the left side that has smooth metal like finish. It has 4G LTE connectivity with support for LTE bands for India.
