Xiaomi just confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi 11i Series in India on January 6th. This will include the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge that will come with India’s first 120W fast charging support that can charge up to 100% in 15 minutes. These were launched in China as Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ back in October. POCO launched the POCO M2 Pro handset last year in India. The POCO M2 Pro shares a lot in common with the Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. All these devices came preloaded with Android 10, and have already been updated to Android 11 based MIUI 12. It’s not clear if Xiaomi and POCO have plans to upgrade these devices to Android 12 based MIUI.
After introducing ES43, ES55 and ES65 2022 models of TVs earlier this year, Xiaomi has introduced ES50 2022, a 50-inch model in China. It supports HDR, Dolby Vision, 4096 levels of brightness control, multi-zone backlight, up to 600 nits brightness, self-developed algorithms to reduce color errors, and achieve a professional display-level color accuracy of ΔE≈2. Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi 9 Prime in India. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO counterpart POCO M2 is also receiving the same update in India. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update also brings November 2021 Android security patch to Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime, and POCO M2. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Smart Balance, and also lets users Uninstall most of the system apps.
After teasers, Xiaomi has introduced its 27-inch 4K professional IPS display with PANTONE authoritative certification, 99% Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color gamut, ΔE<1 and has a key P to easily switch color gamut, depending on the content creation such as CG design, CAD and darkroom mode.
