Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in India, as it had announced. It has a 6.55-inch AMOLED Dot Display with 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit TrueColor support and Dolby Vision that also works on Netflix. It is powered by Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM, support for up to 12 5G bands, and has liquid cooling. The phone runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi promises 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates for the phone. At the Global Fintech Festival yesterday, Xiaomi announced its future plans for contactless payments. The company announced that it will launch Xiaomi NFC Mi Pay straps for its smartwatches and Mi bands soon that will allow users to experience contactless payments at offline stores. Redmi today launched the Redmi 9A Sport and Redmi 9i Sport smartphones in India, a year after the launch of Redmi 9A and 9i models in the country. Both the phones pack a 6.53-inch HD+ 20:9 Dot Drop screen, are powered by MediaTek Helio G25, feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. These feature an Aura 360 design with grip-friendly texture that doesn’t attract smudges or fingerprints and pack a 5000mAh battery.
Along with the Xiaomi Civi smartphone, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi True Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones 3 Pro and the Xiaomi Watch Color 2, successor to last year’s Mi Watch Color in China. Xiaomi just introduced the Xiaomi Civi that will replace the Xiaomi CC series in China, as it had announced. It has an 6.55-inch 3D curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit TrueColor and Dolby Vision support. The company says the “chin” has been reduced by 16% to 2.55mm, which is Xiaomi’s smallest chin so far. Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has launched Redmi 9 Activ, the company’s latest budget Redmi smartphone in India, a year after the launch of Redmi 9. It retains the a 6.53-inch HD+ HD+ 20:9 Dot Drop screen, is powered by MediaTek Helio G35, but this has up to 6GB of RAM, It runs Android 10 with MIUI 12, features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor. Update: Xiaomi has posted images of the smartphone that shows a different design compared to the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G. Xiaomi also confirmed that the phone will be 71.5mm wide so that even people with small hands like women can hold it comfortably. It will by 6.98mm thick and weigh 166 grams, making it thin and light, but this is slightly higher than the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G. Redmi just launched its new Redmi Smart TV models in India, as it has had announced. The 32″ model has an HD ready screen and the 43″ model has a FHD screen. Both these come with Vivid Picture Engine (VPE), a set of software and hardware tweaks that ensures accurate screen calibration, deeper contrasts and perfect colour reproduction. Xiaomi at its global event announced its Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro, the company’s flagship phones in the new Xiaomi 11T series. Both these pack a 6.67’’ FHD+ 120Hz AdaptiveSync AMOLED flat display, TrueColor, and HDR10+, 1000 nits of peak brightness, and up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, and the Pro version also has Dolby Vision and has DisplayMate A+ ratings. These are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The 11T is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200-ultra SoC and the Pro version uses the Snapdragon 888 SoC. These run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top, and Xiaomi already confirmed 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates for the phones.
