When Yu anounced its next flagship a while back, it created quite a storm. The Yunicorn as it is called brings cutting edge specifications with some uniquely distinguishing features both from a hardware and software perspective. That said, the phone faces stiff competition from the likes of Xiaomi and others that have traditionally delivered competitive specs at very low price points. Xiaomi’s VP just tweeted that “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans”, along with the video that confirms that the Mi Max will indeed launch in India on June 30th. The phablet with a 6.44-inch 1080p display and a huge 4850mAh battery was announced in China last month.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Community in India on on June 20th. This will allow MI customers to share their feedback, participate in contests, take part in launch events in India and more easily. Xiaomi has already started beta test registrations, which will begin on June 14th. 500 Mi Community beta testers will get early access to new forum for Mi fans in India and other goodies.
