Xiaomi Mi 5s with 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 821, Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor surfaces

Xiaomi is said to be working on Mi 5s and some of the specs of the upcoming flagship phone have surfaced in two new leaks.

First up, the phone has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark listing that reveals specifications of the Mi 5s. As per the listing, the phone will sport a 5.15-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC featuring the Adreno 530 GPU and comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Furthermore, a separate post on Weibo corroborates the AnTuTu specifications of the Mi 5s and offers some additional details. As per the Weibo post, Xiaomi will ditch the home button for Mi 5s and use Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that will be present beneath the glass. Currently, it is not known, how Xiaomi will embed this technology in the Mi 5s.

Other expected specs of the Mi 5s are 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS). It is tipped to be powered by a 3,490mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Fast Charging 3.0 support.
