Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, 12MP dual rear cameras announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi MIX 2S, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Mi MIX series in Shanghai, as it had promised. It has a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB RAM, support for Google ARCore and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with support for AI voice assistant. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, OIS, Dual Pixel auto focus and a secondary 12-megapixel rear camera for AI portraits and has AI scene recognition that can detect 25 categories and 206 kinds of scenes. The 5-megapixel front camera, which as been moved to the bottom part of the phone. It has support for AI portrait selfies with real-time background blur and the phone also has face unlock. Xiaomi Black Shark gaming phone with Snapdragon 845 confirmed

A new smartphone code-named Blackshark surfaced on AnTuTu and Geekbench recently, which is believed to be Xiaomi’s first gaming smartphone under the new Black shark brand, in which Xiaomi started investing last year. Now the official Black Shark account on weibo and Qualcomm China have confirmed that it will be powered by Snapdragon 845. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S – 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, Ceramic body confirmed by CEO; surfaces in video ahead of March 27 announcement

Xiaomi is all set to introduce the Mi Mix 2S smartphone at an event in Shanghai tomorrow. The company already confirmed Snapdragon 845, AI camera, AI face unlock, AI scene recognition, AI dual camera and wireless charging support for the phone. Today the company’s CEO Lei Jun on weibo confirmed 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for the phone and also said that it will have a ceramic body curved on all four sides.

Xiaomi Mi TV gets Hotstar app to stream sports, watch movies and TV shows

Xiaomi launched its Mi TV 4 55-inch 4K HDR TV last month and recently it launched the TV 4A series. At the TV 4 launch the company said that it has partnered with Hotstar, SunNxt, Voot, Sony LIV, Hungama, Zee5, ALTBalaji, Viu, TVF and flickstree offering over 500,000 hours of content. The company starting adding them slowly. Recently it announced that TVF videos and web-series will be available across all Mi TVs. Xiaomi Mi Video App gets online content integration

With the launch of MIUI 9 back in November, Xiaomi introduced few new apps such as Mi Video, New Mi Explorer and Mi Drop. MIUI gets updated biweekly, which includes closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday, last Friday Xiaomi updated the Mi Video app and it gets online content integration. Xiaomi today launched two new earphones – Mi Earphones, Mi Earphones Basic in India. The company already has several in-ear earphones in India, and it recently launched the Mi Noise Cancelling USB Type-C Earphones in the country.
