Xiaomi opens its 500th service center in India, offers Rs. 500 coupon on smartphone repair

Xiaomi 500 service centers in India

Xiaomi has achieved a new milestone by opening its 500th authorized service center in India in Bengaluru. With this, Xiaomi will provide an enhanced after sales service experience. Earlier this year it partnered with B2X, leading provider of customer care for smartphones for after sales service in India. At that time it had only 200 service centers across the country. Xiaomi’s service centers are now in 350 cities in 3 years since the company entered India.

While submitting the devices, customers need to mention their Mi ID (account details) along and Rs. 500 discount coupons will be added in their account upon successful device collection. This is applicable only on smartphone repairs and is available only today, June 30th, 2017 across all Mi Authorised Service Centers.

Back in 2015 Xiaomi launched Mi‬ door step pick up and drop service in the country. The Pick Mi service is now present in India for more than 8000 pin codes. It also has two call centers, three repair factories and two large spare part warehouses across India.

“The call centers have more than 600 contact center specialists who provide support for up to 16,000 calls a day. The staff at Xiaomi’s repair factories consists of over 100 trained engineers who repair up to 500 PCBA units a day with over 85 percent success rate,” said the company.

Manu Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India, said:

500 is another milestone for us in our India journey which is a proof point of our dedication towards after sales experience. Today, we have a strong service infrastructure and we want to be known as the benchmark for service delivery in India. While sales is an important element for most brand, after sales is an extremely crucial element for us at Xiaomi and we will continue to work harder to make Xiaomi an even more consumer centric company for our Mi Fans. In fact, we are kicking this week off as a Service Quality week in India today where we will celebrate our service experience for our Mi Fans across India.
