As Samsung’s March 1st Unpacked 2015 event gets closer several leaks regarding the upcoming Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have started flowing. CNET Korea have got hold of images of both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Edge smartphones with and without cases. We had seen several leaks of the Galaxy S6 earlier from the case markers and the design schematics that were leaked recently revealed that the Galaxy S6 would be just 6.91mm thin. Three UK to sell the Samsung Galaxy A5

Three UK already confirmed to be stocking the Galaxy A3 and now the network has revealed they will also be selling its bigger sibling, the Galaxy A5, on pay monthly contracts and pay as you go in the UK. Both the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are part of Samsung’s new A series which gains inspiration from the Galaxy Alpha and brings an all-metal clad body. Samsung leads smartphone market in India: Counterpoint Report

Yesterday, Canalys report stated that Micromax pipped Samsung to become India’s top smartphone vendor. However, a latest report from Counterpoint is stating that Samsung is still the top smartphone maker in the country for Q4, 2014.

Samsung Galaxy E5 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy E5 smartphone in the E series in India last month for Rs. 19,300.  We brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to other A and E series smartphones.  It has 1.5GB RAM, 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Samsung starts mass production of world’s first ePoP memory for smartphones

Samsung today announced that it has started mass producing of world’s first ePoP (embedded package on package) memory. This is a single memory package that includes a 3GB LPDDR3 DRAM, 32GB eMMC (embedded multi-media card) and a controller to be  used in high-end smartphones saving approximately 40 percent of space. Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge pricing allegedly revealed

Samsung has only just begun issuing invites to its March 1 MWC 2015 event in Barcelona where the Galaxy S6 and S Edge are likely to be announced but already we’re hearing alleged pricing for the handset. According to AndroidPit, the Galaxy S6 and S Edge will both be available in three storage sizes and the Galaxy S6 will begin at €749 whilst the Galaxy S Edge will be approximately €100 more. Samsung sends invites for March 1 MWC event, hints at curved design

Samsung has finally started sending out press invites to an Unpacked event being held in a months’ time on Sunday 1st March 2015 in Barcelona.

The event, which takes place on the Sunday before MWC 2015 officially begins, is likely to see the launch of the Galaxy S6 and the invite points to a Curved Design suggesting we’ll also see a curved edge smartphone announced.
