Update: July 8, 2019 — Realme has confirmed that the smartphone will launch in India on Flipkart. It has also posted #RealVoiceOfIndia results that says 62% people prefer pop-up camera, 59% prefer full-screen no-notch display, 66% ask for super fast-charging battery and 81% want a brilliant camera.
Just after the Redmi 7A launch in the country, Realme India CEO took it to Twitter to compare Realme C2 with ‘Smartphone A’ in a couple of tweets and referred to Realme C2 as ‘Desh ka Real Choice’ which was launched back in April. Ahead of launch on July 15th, realme today officially announced the realme X Spider-Man edition in India, a day before the release of Spider-Man – Far From Home movie in the country. It was introduced in China last week. The smartphone comes with a special gift box comprising a limited edition protective case and a preinstalled ColorOS 6 Spider-Man theme.

After teasing it, Realme has officially introduced the Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home Limited Edition smartphone in China in partnership with Marvel. This comes only in White color in 8GB RAM with 128GB version and includes custom Spider-Man theme with icons. There is no change in other specifications.

Realme has finally started rolling out Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 1 and Realme U1 smartphones in India. Samsung and Xiaomi’s Redmi are said to be working on a new smartphone with 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. Today Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the company will be introducing world’s first smartphone camera with 64MP GW1 largest 1/1.72″ sensor and 1.6µm pixel. In addition, he also said that the phone will be launched in India first.
Update – June 21, 2019: Realme has started rolling out ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 2 Pro again after it was stopped due to bootloader issues last month. This has the build number RMX1801EX_11_A.21, includes Android security patch for May, 2019 and is 2.68GB in size. It is rolling out gradually, but you can download the update ZIP file from Realme website here and update manually.

Realme has been teasing the launch of the company’s latest realme X smartphone in India for later this year, after it was introduced in China earlier this month. Now Realme India CEO Madhav Seth, answering the questions of Realme fans has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India in the second half of 2019, which starts from July.

Update: May 13, 2019 — Couple of days before the launch, the company has shared official images of the phone with a no-notch screen with a pop-up front camera, in-display fingerprint scanner and dual rear cameras that includes a 48MP primary camera.
realme already confirmed that its older devices will get Android 9.0 (Pie) update along with ColorOS 6 soon. The company event rolled out Android Q beta 3 for its latest realme 3 Pro smartphone, which is the first phone in the range to support it. Now the company has confirmed that it will start beta testing for the Android Pie based ColorOS 6 update starting next week. This will also add Hyper Boost 2.0 for the devices with the update, expect realme 2, C1, and C2.
