OPPO today announced ColorOS 7, the next major ColorOS update at an event in China, as it had promised. The latest version comes with refreshed icons in UI, expansion of live wallpapers, polar night mode, new video editing assistant, and more. OPPO said that ColorOS has more than 300 million users worldwide, covering more than 40 countries and regions, and translated into more than 80 languages.
OPPO recently confirmed that ColorOS 7, the next major ColorOS update will be introduced at an event in China on November 20th. Today OPPO has confirmed that the India launch will take place in Delhi on November 26th. It did not say if we can expect a new smartphone along with this. OPPO just announced K5, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the K series in China, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 730G with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 and packs a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It has a 8MP 119° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture are same.
Update: September 26, 2019 – OPPO has confirmed that K5 will be announced on October 10th along with the Reno Ace. It will come in Green, Blue and White colors with 3D Glass back.
OPPO has shared the official image of the Reno Ace which shows a gradient glass back, and the complete specifications have been revealed on TENAA. It recently confirmed 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charge that can charge the phone’s 4000mAh battery in less than 30 minutes.

Earlier this week OPPO introduced its 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge fast charging, an upgrade to 20W VOOC 3.0 that is used in its current devices. OPPO already said that this will debut in K5 smartphone, successor of the K3. Today realme has confirmed that realme X2 will feature the 30W fast charging technology. The phone will be introduced in China on September 24th.
Yesterday OPPO confirmed that its Reno Ace with 65W SuperVOOC charging will be introduced in China on October 10th. As promised, the company has revealed details about its fast charging technology on the phone, which is faster than the 50W (10V/5A) SuperVOOC Flash Charge that was introduced with the Find X Lamborghini Limited Edition last year and is also present in OPPO R17 Pro.
