OPPO F21 Pro 5G Unboxing and First Impressions


OPPO launched the F21 Pro 5G smartphone in India, along with the F21 Pro and the Buds Air2 Pro last week. The 5G model of the F21 Pro packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, 16-megapixel front camera inside the punch-hole, 64MP triple rear cameras with bokeh flare portrait, has support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

The OPPO F21 Pro has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well.

It has a small punch-hole that houses 16-megapixel camera, compared to the 32-megapixel camera in the 4G version. The proximity and ambient light sensors are present under the screen. The earpiece is present on the top edge. Powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC, the phone has 8GB of RAM and 5GB of RAM expansion.

The phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner which is quick to unlock the phone.

Coming to the button placements, the power button is present on the right side, the volume rockers are present on the right along with the hybrid SIM slot. The secondary microphone is on the top, the 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. Audio from the speakers are decent, even though it’s mono.

The phone features a 64-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel portrait and 2-megapixel macro cameras. There is dual orbit light around the camera. It supports up to 1080p 30 fps video recording. It has bokeh flare portrait for photos, but doesn’t support portrait video.

Coming to the design, the Rainbow Spectrum model uses a three-layer texture and a two-layer coating process that gives its back cover a matte finish with a subtle glittery appearance. Together, the layers create an iridescent and prismatic effect that reflects red to mint green, yellow to purple, and green to pink.

The phone also comes in Cosmic Black variant. It packs a 4500mAh with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. It is 7.6mm thick and weighs 173 grams.

The OPPO F21 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 26,999 and will be available to pre-order on Amazon.in and will be available from April 21st.
