Today it has announced that it will be selling refurbished and unboxed units of the Onyx version of the OnePlus X smartphone on February 15th starting at Rs. 12,799. OnePlus slashed the price of OnePlus One smartphone permanently by $50 last year. Today the company has announced a $40 permanent price cut for the 64GB variant of the OnePlus 2 smartphone, which is now available for $349. “Additionally anyone who purchased the OnePlus 2 within the last 15 days, will be seeing a refund in price ($40, or the equivalent in your currency) in their account,” said the company. The 64GB variant with 4GB of RAM went on sale in August for Rs. 24,999, and the company said that the 16GB variant with 3GB of RAM will be available in late 2015, but it didn’t happen. Now it has finally launched the 16GB variant in India. OnePlus has finally started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.2.0 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, couple of months after it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.3 update. This update fixes USSD issues for India finally, so that pre-paid users will now receive USSD notification after a call, SMS and for data usage. The update also adds manual mode that is already present in the OnePlus 2, option to save images in SD card directly in camera, security patches, bug fixes and optimizations. OnePlus One has finally got the OxygenOS 2.1.4 update. It brings Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), new camera support, including slow motion and clear image, new ringtones and more. OnePlus said that MaxxAudio’s proprietary sound technology and relevant applications, screen temperature slider, manual camera mode, RAW file format capability and others that were present in the test version did not make it to the final cut.
