Micromax partnered with Aircel last year for bundled offers on smartphones and 3G Dongles. It partnered with MTS to launch Canvas Blaze MT500 smartphone. Now, the company has partnered with Tata Docomo to launch voice and data offers. This lets Tata Docomo customers enjoy voice and data at cheaper rates on Micromax handsets purchased after 1st October 2013 till 30th June 2014.

Micromax Canvas LapTab to launch under Rs. 30000

Micromax unveiled the Canvas LapTab, the company’s first dual-boot Android and Windows 8.1 tablet at the CES 2014 last week. Now PTI reports that the tablet would be priced under $500 or Rs. 30,000 when it launches in India sometime in Q1 2014. The Canvas LapTab has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS touch screen display, powered by a 1.46 GHz Intel Celeron N2805 processor along with 2GB of RAM. Micromax announced their arrival into the Laptop niche with a very interesting product. Micromax LapTab dual boot Android and Windows 8.1 device announced

Popular budget smartphone brand, Micromax, just announced its entry into a brand new product category. At the Consumer Electronics Show, The company has announced a dual boot tablet that will join its line of products which includes smartphones, tablets and HDTVs.

Called the LapTab, the Micromax product will be powered by an Intel Atom processor. The device will run both Windows 8.1 and Android Jelly Bean so that you can switch between the two depending on your usage requirement. The rest of the specifications are fairly mid range. The Bolt A28 runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), packs a 0.3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. These smartphones have been listed on Flipkart and packs a 3.5-inches (320 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and powered by a 1 GHz processor. The Micromax Bolt A59 runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), features a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. 11 Micromax Canvas smartphones rumored to get Android 4.4 KitKat update

Micromax offered Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the A116 Canvas HD back in June. But both the Canvas 4 and the Canvas Turbo were launched on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with no sign of future upgrades even though these have built-on OTA update support.  MMXNewscaster, popular for smartphone leaks has tweeted that Micromax plans to release Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for 11 Canvas devices and 3 Canvas smartphones would be upgraded to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). If this turns out to be true, its an awesome news for the Canvas users, since they would get the Android 4.4 directly, skipping the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update. It comes with a 5-inch (480x 854 pixels) display, powered by 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with integrated EVDO and a GSM modem and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. MTS offers free data and Voice benefits for 6 months from the date of purchase.
