Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200 Unboxing and First Impressions

Among many other trends, Samsung also started this “mini” variant trend, of its single flagship device in its portfolio. The idea was to offer a small screened version of the much loved flagship, at a lesser price that everyone can afford. This trend was followed by HTC with their One mini and even Sony, with their Z1 compact, which is possibly the best implementation without compromises till date. In that line of “mini” devices, we now have our own Micromax with their “mini” version of the popular flagship – Canvas Turbo. Appropriately named the Micromax Canvas Turbo mini A200, the phone takes its screen size and the specs a notch down, to compete with devices in a different price segment. Announced some time back for a price of Rs. 14,490, how does the Canvas Turbo look and what does it bring? Lets find out in our unboxing video –

Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200, a mid-range smartphone went on sale recently. Now three new Micromax smartphones in the Bolt series, the Micromax Bolt A24, Bolt A37B and Bolt A46 are available online. The Bolt A24 has a 2.8-inch QVGAscreen, powered by a 1 GHz Spreadrtum SC6820 processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Micromax forayed into Russian market last week and unveiled a range of smartphones in its Canvas and Bolt series. The company announced the Canvas Knight A350 with a 5-inch 1080p display in Russia, it would also launch the Canvas Tube A118R with a 5.5-inch display soon. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Micromax Canvas Turbo Mini A200 that was spotted online recently, is now available from Flipkart. It has a 4.69-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Camerazzi Camera app similar to the Canvas Turbo that lets you create GIF Cinemagraph and remove unwanted objects with Object Eraser. Micromax Canvas Turo A250 is the company’s latest flagship, and the Canvas Turbo Mini A200 would launch soon. Micromax entered into the Russian market earlier this week with its Canvas line-up. It had also announced the Canvas Knight A350 in Russia, as reported by PCMag.Ru. It has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It features a 16-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax enters into Russian market with new Canvas Beat and Canvas Social smartphones

Micromax has announced that they have started their operations in Russia by launching new Canvas and Bolt smartphones in the country. The company would be operating through a partnership with VVP Group, one of the leading distributors in Russia. It would launch 14 products in the Russian market in the initial phase. It had launched two new Canvas smartphones, the Micromax Canvas Beat A114R and the Canvas Social A94 in Russia. The phone packs a 4.5-inch (480 x 854 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Two new Micromax Funbook tablets, the Micromax Funbook P365 and the Funbook P256 are available  online. These tablets have a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The Funbook P365 is  powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Funbook P256 is powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The P365 comes with a 2G SIM slot and voice calling, while the P256 doesn’t have a SIM slot. Both these support 3G via dongle.
