Verizon has finally started rolling out the webOS 2.1 update to the Verizon Palm Pre 2 smartphones. The new webOS 2.1 update comes with Voice Dial, Support for Bluetooth keyboards, Backup changes, Email fixes and much more.
Last year, HP launched the successor of the original Palm Pre smartphone, the Palm Pre 2. This handset originally runs on the webOS 2.0 and it was later updated to the webOS 2.1. This update was rolled out to the unlocked Palm Pre 2 devices in March, but the Verizon subscribers were left behind. The much-awaited HP TouchPad is finally up for pre-order at Best Buy, Newegg, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, Amazon, Office Depot and Costco. It comes with a price tag of $499.99 for the 16 GB version and $599.99 for the 32 GB version.
Earlier this year, HP announced its much-awaited tablet, the HP TouchPad. It is the world’s first tablet device to run on the HP webOS Operating System. HP TouchPad comes with a 9.7 inch XGA capacitive display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for live video calling and much more. The HP TouchPad webOS tablet which was rumored to hit USA in June has got an official launch date of July 1. The 16GB WiFi version will be available for $499.99 and the 32GB version will sell of $599.99. Pre-orders will start from June 19 in both USA and Europe. United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany will get the tablet few days after USA and Canada gets it in mid-July. HP Veer is a really cute phone which runs on WebOS . We recently had a hands on with the device at a BestBuy. Here are some pics of the device. Although the device is small it is pretty powerful and multitasks really well the cards concept of webOS. The browser loads pages pretty fast . The phone we tested was running on AT&T’s 4G network.

HP officially announced the HP Veer at Mobile World Congress which is the smallest WebOS phone and the size of the phone is almost equal to a size of credit card. The phone is small but it comes with a power of smartphones. HP announced its smallest Web OS handset Veer this February and it was showcased at Mobile World Congress few days later. This phone was expected to launch this spring in USA. Now HP has put up an online invite to an event scheduled on May 2nd 2011.

We had the chance to get close to the HP TouchPad Tablet running on webOS during MWC and although the device was a prototype , it was super impressive. It was really interesting to see webOS on a large screen and multitasking rocked on the TouchPad ( watch video below). the 9.7 inch display was utilized pretty well by the card interface of webOS

The HP Pre 3 looks pretty similar to the earlier version of the Pre clan but it packs a lot of power this time. The Pre 3 is powered by a 1.4 GHz CPU and has a 3.58 inch display. The HP Veer is the most tiny smartphone we are seen in recent times and it runs webOS and almost identical specs wise to the Pre 3 apart from the smaller display and keyboard. We loved the Sony X10 Mini and Pro and we are surely loving the form factor of the Veer. The Veer was announced on Feb 9th in USA and we got a chance to play with this handset during MWC in Barcelona
