HP unveiled the HP Slate7 Extreme and Slate8 Pro NVIDIA Tegra 4-powered tablets back in September. The company did not announce the pricing and detailed specifications of these tablets at that time. Now these tablets are on sale in the U.S. including a new HP Slate7 Plus tablet powered by a Tegra 3 processor and the Slate10 HD tablet powered by a dual-core Cortex A9 Marvell PXA986 processor. HP Slate 7 HD and Slate 10 HD tablets with dual-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

HP Slate 7 HD and Slate 10 HD

HP has announced two new mid-range Android tablets along with the Slate 7 Extreme and Slate 8 Pro powered by Tegra 4. These tablets come with 7-inch and 10-inch display at a resolution of 1280 x 800. These tablets are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A9  Marvell PXA986 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). These also have  front and rear cameras. HP Slate 7 Extreme and Slate 8 Pro

HP announced the company’s first Tegra 4-powered hybrid, SlateBook x2 with a 10.1-inch 1080p display back in May. Now the company has announced two new devices, Slate 7 Extreme and Slate 8 Pro powered by a Tegra 4 Cortex-A15 processor with 72-core GeForce GPU. The Slate 7 Extreme has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display, while the Slate 8 Pro comes with a 7.98-inch (1600 x 1200 pixels) display. HP Slate 21 All-in-One PC with 21.5-inch full HD display, Android 4.2 launched in India for Rs. 24990

HP has launched the Slate 21, the company’s first All-in-One (AiO) PC running runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) along with the Slatebook x2 in India. It was announced last month and has a 21.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD capacitive reclining IPS touchscreen display with wide viewing angles and is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. You can tilt the screen between 15 and 70 degrees with your hand and can also mount the AiO using a standard VESA mount. HP Slatebook x2 Android convertible launched in India for Rs. 39,990

Ever since the HP slate that launched at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, HP had started its Android on-slaught with more devices. Sometime back, HP launched the Slatebook X2, a convertible Android tablet with a keyboard dock that made it work like a laptop too, if needed. This is the standard on most Windows 8 tablets and the trend was started way back, by the ASUS transformer, which has been caught up by other companies such as HP.

The SlateBook X2 has a 10.1-inch (1920 by 1200 pixels) IPS display, powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Surprisingly, the full sized detachable keyboard dock has a touch pad too. The Keyboard dock has a full HDMI port, USB 2.0, an SD slot, and an audio port. It also has a battery that would act as a charger when docked.

HP has announced the Slate 21, the company’s first All in One (AiO) PC that runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 21.5-inch full HD capacitive touch screen reclining IPS touchscreen with wide viewing angles and powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. You can adjust the screen between 15 and 70 degrees with your hand and can also mount the AiO using a standard VESA mount. It has DTS Sound for immersive audio experience and comes pre-loaded with Kingsoft Office for editing office files. HP has announced the SlateBook x2 the company’s new tablet with support for a keyboard dock similar to the Asus Transformer series. The SlateBook X2 has a 10.1-inch (1920 by 1200 pixels) IPS display, powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a full-sized detachable keyboard dock with a touch pad. The Keyboard has a full HDMI port, USB 2.0, an SD slot, and an audio port. Jon Rubinstein, creator of the Apple iPod and former CEO of Palm joins Qualcomm board of directors

Jonathan Rubinstein more popularly known as Jon Rubinstein is a pretty famous name in the tech industry and famous for heading the iPod project at Apple. He later left Apple to join Palm and was later appointed as CEO. He subsequently joined HP after HP’s much criticized  acquisition of Palm. Rubinstein was the person behind webOS which ran on handsets like the Palm Pre and HP Veer and even the TouchPad tablet. He quit HP in January 2012. LG buys webOS for Smart TVs

LG Electronics has announced that they have acquired webOS operating system technology from HP that include, source code, associated documentation, engineering talent and related websites associated with webOS for development of next-generation Smart TV technology. HP Slate 7 hands on

HP unveiled the Slate 7, the company’s first Android Tablet few hours back. We brought you the photo gallery of the tablet, here is the hands on video. It has a 7-inch with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The screen is bright and the High-aperture-ratio Field Fringe Switching (HFFS) panel offers wide viewing angles.

HP has announced the Slate 7 Tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2013. It comes with a 7-inch ( 1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with High-aperture-ratio Field Fringe Switching (HFFS) panel with wide viewing angles and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1.6 GHz Dual Core Cortex-A9 processor and comes with built-in Beats Audio support.  It has a stainless-steel frame and comes in soft black paint back in gray or red colors. HP releases Android code for Touchpad

Just when the fire sale of the HP Touchpad was taking place, some customers had reported that they received Touchpads with Android running out of the box, and now HP has released the kernel source of Android for the Touchpad to the CyanogenMod team.
