Gionee launched the Elife E5 in India back in July. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Since this has a faster processor, the scores would obviously be better than the MT6589 chip clocked at 1.2 GHz present in the Elife E3 that we reviewed back in June. The trend in today’s Indian market is cheap Android Smartphones. Many companies like Micromax and Karbonn have successfully built huge businesses over this specific concept, however there are always compromises to be made. Most devices that land in the Indian market are re branded low cost Smartphones from across the border in China. Shenzen is a hub of countless number of companies that are mainly contract manufacturers and often end up offering really low cost, and thereby low quality phones. But some of them really stand out, like Meizu, Xiaomi, Oppo and the new entrant in our list of impressive Chinese companies – Gionee. The Elife E5 has inspired us to think beyond and acknowledge the fact that excellent phone makers exist, irrespective of the market they are from.

Gionee GPad G3, successor of the GPad G2 is coming soon says Gionee. The company shared an image of the device on their Facebook page, saying that it would come with a 5.5-inch display. It did not reveal the display resolution or any other details. According to rumors the phone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch (854 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Gionee GPad G2 is the successor of the original GPad from Gionee that was launched in India back in May. The GPad 2 is considerably a big improvement over the original GPad with a better display, better processor, more RAM and better front facing camera. Gionee has finally announced the most expectedElife E6 at an event in China just now. The Elife E6 packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display based on one-glass solution (OGS+) technology, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589T processor and runs on Amigo ROM Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with f2.2 wide angle lens, BSI sensor, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f2.4 wide angle lens. The phone is 7.9mm thick and has just 2.54mm thin bezel around the display. It weighs just 128 grams. Cashing in on the popularity of giant sized Android phablets, Gionee has introduced a new entrant in the field called the GPad G2. We’ve got our hands on the behemoth with a 5.3 inch screen and decided to bring you a photo gallery while we put it through its paces.
The GPad G2 is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad core processor that is paired with 1 GB of RAM. The screen has a resolution of 960×540 and is called a True Color display.We’ll have more on this in our review. At the back of the phone there is an 8MP camera that can capture 720p video.
