BlackBerry launched its flagship Priv smartphone running Android earlier this year for Rs. 62,990. We already brought you the photo gallery and benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results of the smartphone. It packs a 3,410 mAh built-in battery with support for fast charging. It has a 5.43-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Check out the test results below.

BlackBerry launched its flagship Priv smartphone running Android earlier this year for Rs. 62,990. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM, 5.43-inch Quad HD AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores.

WhatsApp to end support for BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10 and Symbian

WhatsApp has announced that it will stop supporting BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10, Symbian S60 and few other older platforms by the end of this year. WhatsApp turned seven years old last week. “As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use,” said the company. BlackBerry has launched the Priv Android smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced back in October last year, packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, is powered by an Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerry’s own features and apps, 18-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, OIS, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

BlackBerry CEO confirms commitment to BlackBerry 10, new Android smartphone in 2016

Yesterday there was a report that said BlackBerry won’t launch any new smartphones running on its own BlackBerry 10 software in 2016 and could launch a couple of devices running on Android instead. Now BlackBerry CEO has confirmed that BlackBerry will continue to offer software updates for its BlackBerry 10 smartphones. He also doesn’t specifically say the company will be releasing any new BlackBerry 10 devices this year. BlackBerry reports $89M loss in Q3 FY2016, PRIV to be available in 31 countries by Feb 2016

BlackBerry today reported a net loss (GAAP) of $89 million or $0.17 per basic share for the third fiscal quarter 2016 that ended November 28, 2015 on revenues (GAAP) of $548 million. Cash and investments balance was $2.71 billion at the end of the fiscal quarter, including the impact of the recent acquisitions of AtHoc and Good Technology at a cost of $636 million, said the company.

Blackberry to exit Pakistan – User privacy cited as the reason
