Apple today announced that Google Maps is now supported on Apple CarPlay, meaning that iPhone users can now replace Apple Maps with Google Maps for navigation. Google Maps on CarPlay features the same navigation experience found in the app. Search for places, see alternative routes, up to date information about traffic jams and delays happening and more. Apple releases iOS 12 for iPhone and iPad, watchOS 5 for Apple Watch

Apple has released iOS 12, its latest operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users as it had promised and also released watchOS 5.0 for Apple Watch users. Announced at the WWDC in June this year, iOS 12 is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 5th generation, iPad 6th generation, iPad mini 2 and later and iPod touch 6th generation. Apple Watch Series 4 shipments surpass expectations; iPhone XS poses lackluster demand: Kuo

One of the most anticipated features in the new iPhones of 2018 was Dual SIM support which has been a common feature in most Android smartphones. This feature was leaked in the iOS code base quite a while back, but got unveiled with excellent detail in the Apple keynote. Dual SIM was a feature which was limited to entry level or mid-tier smartphones until recent times when manufacturers like Huawei, Samsung, LG, OnePlus have been including Dual-SIM support even in their flagship smartphones.

Apple is adding new features to HomePod including the ability to search by lyrics, set multiple timers, make and receive phone calls and more. It is also bringing support for Spanish in the US, Spain, and Mexico, and expands support in Canada with Canadian French.

Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s series get a price cut in India

Apple introduced iPhone XS, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone XR at an event in the U.S. few hours back. At the event it also announced price cuts for iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 series. In India the company has announced price cuts for iPhone 6s series and iPhone X as well, in addition to iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 series. This price cut comes after a price hike after increase in import duty back in February this year. The iPhone 7 Plus 32GB has received Rs. 12940 or 20.5% price cut, while it is just 1.8% or Rs. 2030 price cut for the iPhone X 256GB.

Reliance Jio and Airtel will support eSIM on iPhone XS, XS Max and XR in India – Here’s how Dual SIM works

Apple introduced three new iPhones – iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, all with support for Dual SIM cards worldwide. These iPhones have a primary nano SIM and have secondary eSIM support working with carriers. It also announced Airtel and Reliance Jio will support eSIM in India, and the company said that it will add more partners next year.

Apple to roll out iOS 12, Watch OS 5 on September 17, macOS Mojave available starting September 24th

Apple has concluded the ‘Gather Around’ event after announcing the new iPhones, Apple Watch. Apart from these, the company has also announced the rollout schedule for the iOS 12, HomePod and tvOS 12 with Atmos and Watch OS and macOS Mojave which it introduced at WWDC. Apple iPhone XR with 6.1-inch Liquid Retina Display, A12 Bionic 7nm chip, Face ID announced, starts at Rs. 76900 in India

Apple along with the iPhone XS series, also introduced the iPhone XR, a cheaper version with a 6.1-inch LCD 326ppi Liquid Retina display, which it calls the best LCD display ever made. It has the same A12 Bionic 7nm Chip, however this loses the secondary 12-megapixel telephoto lens while retaining the wide-angle lens. It has an Aluminum and Glass Design, comes with Face ID and is splash- and water-resistant, with IP67 ratings.

Apple just announced iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the company’s latest flagship smartphones at an event, as expected. The new iPhones have 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch 458PPI  Super Retina HDR displays with support for Dolby Vision and HDR 10, as well as 120Hz touch-sensing. Both these have Face ID for unlocking.
