Apple releases iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 with exposure Notification API, face mask detection for faster unlock process and more

Apple released iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 with new Memoji stickers, Files app iCloud Folder Sharing, Trackpad Support for iPad and more back in March. Now it has rolled out iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 updates after several beta releases. Apple said that the update will speed up access to the passcode field on devices with Face ID when you are wearing a face mask and introduces an option to control automatic prominence of video tiles on Group FaceTime calls and includes bug fixes and other improvements. Apple introduces Apple Watch Pride Edition, releases watchOS 6.2.5 update

Similar to how Apple’s (Product) Red devices directly support programs to treat HIV/ AIDS, Apple has introduced new Pride Edition band and face collection for the Apple Watch, in support of LGBTQ organizations around the world. The Pride Edition Watch faces will come along with the watchOS 6.2.5 update that brings other improvements, bugs fixes, etc.

Apple introduced the new iPhone SE last month priced starting at Rs. 42500.  Few days back it also announced limited period offer for HDFC Bank cards making the effective price Rs. 38,900 after Rs. 3600 cashback. Apple said to shift 20% of production capacity to India, aims for $40 billion revenue in the next 5 years

Apple may be on track to increase India’s local manufacturing revenue to nearly $40 billion over the next 5 years, as a result of the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive scheme (PLI) for large scale electronics manufacturing. The scheme will be largely availed by two of Apple’s contract manufacturers, namely Winstron and Foxconn.
