FIFA 14 is set for release in the next week across consoles and PC, but today we EA released the FIFA 14 app for iOS as a free app in the App Store, but only in New Zealand. The game has been released as a free game, but to unlock features and extras in-app purchases come into play.

LG announced a tablet after a long time in the form of LG G Pad 8.3 in September 2013 and Apple had launched the iPad Mini way back in November 2012. HTC recently announced the smaller version of their flagship – HTC One as the new HTC One Mini. Apple’s iPhone 5 is nearly an year old and Apple have already announced their newer Apple iPhone 5S. Both the devices are world’s apart except for their sizes. HTC One Mini has a 4.3inch display which is close to Apple’s 4inch RETINA display. That’s right. C definitely doesn’t stand for cheap. The unsubsidized unlocked prices for the iPhone 5C have been revealed. The 16 GB version will be available for 549$ and the 32 GB version will be available for 649$. Let me do the direct conversion for you, the Indian National Rupee prices will likely be – Rs. 35,500/- for the 16 GB version and Rs. 42,000/- for the 32 GB version, rounding off to the nearest values without taxes and import duties. That seals the rumour that a low cost iPhone is on the way. It never was and is going to be the plan for Apple as they would never want to lose the insanely high ASPs that they are getting with the current iPhones.
Like any other Apple event, the event started off with numbers from the past discussing the sales and success that the previous generation iPhones have had. This time, Tim Cook had an interesting fact and said that, by the end of October, nearly 700 million iOS devices would have been sold. At June, during the WWDC, Apple had announced that it has sold close to 600 million iOS devices till then. iOS devices include – iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads and iPad Mini.

Just after unveiling the all colourful iPhone 5C, Apple has now moved on to release the iPhone 5S, the next iteration for their flagship iPhone products. Again, the leaks were spot on, with the new home button having a biometrics finger print sensor, but there are also other interesting additions. One is the gold colour variant(Gold, Slate and Silver are the three new colours), which again, was perfectly accurate from the leaks and the other is the new Apple A7 and M7 chips. The iPhone 5S also brings an updated camera and revamped internals, read on to find out what the iPhone 5S is all about.
Apple has just announced the iPhone 5C at an event at its campus. The device will be replacing the iPhone 5 and will be priced lower to reach out to a larger audience. The phone will be available in a range of colors including green, yellow, blue, white and red. Made of hard coated polycarbonate, it uses a new construction method that has a reinforced steel structure.

The specifications include 4 inch retina display with integrated touch and full sRGB spectrum support. Powering it will be an A6 processor. The camera is an 8MP iSight unit with BSI, hybrid IR filter and a 5 element lens. The front camera is now better with a 1.9 micron pixel size, BSI. The iPhone 5C will have support for dual band WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE as well. The phone will be available for $99 for the 16GB version and $199 for the 32GB version on a two year contract. Apple also plans to introduce a range of new cases that looks very snazzy at a price point of $29 each.
Apple just revealed that the much awaited and critiqued iOS 7 update will be coming over to most Apple devices, but it will reach the iPhone 4S and the 5 on September 18th. The iOS 7 update includes the much awaited user interface overhaul and some extra features like AirDrop and brand new multitasking.

Asus announced the MeMO Pad 8 (ME180A) at the IFA 2013 in Berlin last week. Apple launched the iPad mini, the company’s first 7.9 inch display last year. Since these two tablets are almost similar in the size, we managed do a hands on comparison at the IFA. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a 8-inch HD LED Backlit IPS multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel at 188 ppi pixel density. The iPad mini has a 7.9-inch LED Backlit IPS multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel at 162 ppi pixel density. The Memo Pad 8 uses a quad-core quad-core MediaTek MT8125 Cortex A7 chip clocked at 1.6 GHz with PowerVR SGX5 series GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2, while the iPad mini comes with a dual-core Cortex A7 chip with PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and runs on iOS 6.

Apple is expected to unveil the company’s latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5C at an event in Apple’s HQ in Cupertino. Apple sent out the press invites for today’s event last week and China Telecom confirmed it recently. Apple is all set to announce its next iPhone – iPhone 5S and its cheaper version of iPhone – iPhone 5C next week on September 10th. We have had various leaks and rumors suggesting that Apple was indeed testing a bigger iPhone and a larger iPad and today we have more information from The Wall Street Journal that Apple is testing iPhones ranging from 4.8inch – 6inch.
For the first time, Apple is hosting two events for the launch of their premium iPhone. The first event is scheduled on September 10th at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino and the second event is planned for Sept 11 in China. According to the rumor-mill, it is believed that Apple will be launching two iPhones this time – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Samsung’s dominance in the smartphone market is well-known, but the South Korean electronics giant is yet to stamp its authority on the Tablet market. Apple was the company that brought back tablets to life with their original iPad.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311 was launched in July while the iPad Mini was launched way back last year. The iPad Mini is almost at the end of its product cycle while the Tab 3 is quite fresh.
