Every year, hundreds of people line up outside the Apple store to get the latest version of iPhone as well as the iPad. Some people find it dumb, while the others love to wait in the queue to get their latest smartphone and tablet outside the Apple Store. While March 16th is the actual launch day for the iPad 3 which is known as the new iPad , some lucky folks over at Tinhte.vn in Vietnam have managed to grab one a little early. While there is an unboxing video and tons of pics of the device , it’s barely any different from the iPad 2. I guess we have to use the Retina display in person in order to experience the difference. We can spot an LTE toggle under the settings and also a slightly bigger camera sensor on the rear. Apple has cut the price of all models of the iPad 2 in India after it announced the new version of the iPad earlier this week in the US.The entry level iPad 2 WiFi model gets the biggest cut of Rs.5000 whereas other models see cuts between Rs.2000 and Rs.4000. We already told you about the price of the 16GB WiFi only iPad 2 dropping to Rs.24500 , now we have confirmation from Apple that the entire iPad 2 line up will see a discount.

Apple announced the next-gen iPad last night at an event in San Francisco and also reduced the price of the iPad 2 16GB version to $399 in the US. Today morning we heard from Apple India that the price cut is effective in India as well. The 16GB WiFi only version of the iPad 2 is now available for Rs.24500. The 16GB WiFi+3G version now retails for Rs.32900.Apple has not yet declared the Indian pricing for the third generation iPad which packs a Retina display. It will reveal the Indian pricing closer to the launch. Don’t head out to the stores now and expect the new pricing for the new iPad 2 to be effective immediately as it might take a few days for the news to be communicated to the retail network. Couple of Apple Stores we spoke to were selling the iPad 2 at the same old price as of today morning.
Apple announced the new iPad today along with a new Apple TV. Along with these announcements came the news that iOS 5.1 is finally rolling out today to compatible devices. While the update is still not showing up in iTunes , it is available through OTA (Over The Air). Make sure you back up your device before updating it. One good news for iPhone 4S users is that battery life is reportedly improved with this update. We observed the same in a beta build. Good news for folks in India and in other countries where 3G coverage is spotty is that the 3G toggle is back (we will confirm this in a bit)
At an event in San Francisco , Apple just announced the next version of its revolutionary tablet. Powering it is the new A5x chip which comes with quad core graphics and will be used to push graphics to the all new 2048 x 1536 “Retina Display”.

Apple has announced the new iPad today with a bunch of new features and surprisingly , the old iPad or the iPad 2 is not going away from the shelves. Apple has announced that the 16GB Wi-Fi version of the iPad 2 will get a $100 price cut starting today and will start selling at $399 instead of the usual $499. The new iPad will start at $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version. If you wanted to get an iPad and are willing to spend only about $400 , now is a great time to pick one up. But if you are a techie who lives in the cutting edge of technology , save up that extra $100 and get yourself the new iPad. It should be totally worth it. Apple has started sending out invites to the journalists in the US for the iPad event slated for March 7th in San Francisco. Apple is holding its event at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in downtown San Francisco, as opposed to its headquarters in Cupertino. Apple have been fighting a case in China because of the iPad from a long time now, and finally the Cupertino company can breath a sigh of relief as finally the case is coming to its end, now Shanghai court has given Apple the green signal to Apple to sell iPads over there.
Proview had filed a case against Apple saying that they had the rights for the name “iPad” and said that no iPads can go outside China or can be sold there, this had caused many problems because iPads and almost all the Apple products are manufactured in China and there will be a shortage of iPads if the iPad got banned in China. Anyways things are looking up for Apple, and hope they have settled the matter with Proview after all. Soon we will be seeing the launch of the iPad 3 hopefully in March 1st week. Anyways there is still speculation that the iPad might get banned in southern China, but that is still to see.

Last time Apple tried to sell its latest iPhone, the iPhone 4S at the Apple stores in China, there was a huge crowd and loads of people, due to which Apple halted the sales, and closed the store on the launching date. Now China Telecom has announced that it will be bringing the iPhone 4S final to China for the consumers on their network starting March 9th.
This is great news as finally all the people waiting to get their hands on this device have to wait no more. Pre-order for the device will start from March 2nd and it will be free on contract and will come in the usual ranges of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64GB.

We all know that the iPad 3 is on it’s way, but there has also been loads of news going around about Apple fighting a case against a company called Proview. Proview here is saying that the rights for the brand “iPad” was reserved for them and Apple has no right to sell or take any products named iPad out of China. And because of all these problems Apple has asked Amazon to pull out iPad from the Amazon product listing in China.
