Vi (Vodafone Idea) has announced that it has upgraded its network in Gujarat to provide faster and more reliable network connectivity to residents. In addition, on select half-yearly and annual plans, the company is providing 50 to 75 GB of additional data for free.
Customers in Gujarat who recharge the following plans between October 18th and October 31st, 2022, will receive up to 75GB of free data.
Vi Network Improvements in Gujarat
Vi claims to have deployed the highly efficient 900MHz spectrum on over 6060 L900 sites in Gujarat, as well as the 2100 band on over 6850 sites, allowing 86 percent of the state’s population to enjoy stronger networks indoors and faster speeds. Data capacity has increased 36% from July 2020 to August ’22, thanks to the addition of over 1455 TDD sites.
Furthermore, Vi has established 113.6 Mhz of spectrum across bands-900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, and 2500 MHz to offer 5G services in Gujarat.
The network operator also promises that customers in commercial/ residential areas of Anand, Ahmedabad, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, and Valsad and other important towns are experiencing enhanced voice and data experiences, even indoors, in high-density pockets of these cities.
