There are more Chinese smartphone manufacturers these days than the number of fingers on your hands. One thing they all have in common is providing high end specs at low costs. However, the UMi Rome is probably one of the best when you compare the kind of specs you get for the price.
UMi has just announced a new smartphone called the Iron Pro which the company claims to be the world’s most secure smartphone. It costs just US$ 179 but comes with a lot of high end features and touches such as the metal body, fingerprint as well as iris scanner.
Earlier this month, UMi teased the Hammer S and showed that it has a USB Type-C port. Now, UMi have officially announced the smartphone which is the successor to last year’s Hammer smartphone.

It seems that Chinese manufacturers love the USB Type-C port. After LeTV started the trend, several manufacturers chose to adopt the trend including OnePlus which recently confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will indeed sport a USB Type-C port. Now, its the turn of UMi to feature the port on their upcoming Hammer S smartphone.

Umi has teased their upcoming smartphone, the Zero 2 which has a dual-display setup like the YotaPhone. The phone will have a conventional touchscreen display on the front along with an e-ink display on the back.
