Samsung launches Pixon12 in India

Samsung has launched the Pixon12 in India – the phone with the most megapixels in the Camera. At 12MP this phone has competition only from Sony’s upcoming Idou/Satio. But the phone runs Samsung’s Proprietary OS with TouchWiz , so you might be stuck to using this handset for nothing more than Multimedia.

Samsung Mobiles aiming for 20 percent market share in India , bringing 7 new models

Samsung which is very much a household brand name in Asia is striving hard to increase its market share in India according to a PTI report. Samsung Mobiles which was once having a very minor share of the handset market in India now has a share of about 10-15% according to country head of Samsung India , Sunil Dutt. Its interesting to note that Sunil was part of the top brass in Nokia India a couple of years back. Good news for Samsung fans, the company plans to launch over 7 new models in India in July and August including the hugely awaited Omnia HD

The company has a lot of handsets in the low end segment but in the high-end there was nothing impressive so far. Looks like it wants to change this myth

Samsung M8910 Pixon- 12MP Cameraphone!

Samsung has just announced their new phone, the M8910 Pixon which is their first 12MP cameraphone. It will also be the first 12Mp phone to release in the market and will release sometime this month itself! The release is before the Sony Ericsson Satio (Idou) 12MP phone. Samsung Pixon – 8MP & Touch – Lethal!

Touch phones are becoming the order of the day.

When until a few months ago, the touch technology was touted as the ‘next best thing’ with HTC leading the way, other Mobile manufacturers are following the trend with enhanced capabilities to make these handsets a “must want” on several lists.

After the high profile launch of the Samsung Omnia in India a few days ago, Samsung Pixon has now been launched officially. Although there is no word on the official India launch yet, one can be sure it will make its way to us, “the fastest growing Mobile market of the world.”
