The Honor 8 was one of the best mid-ranger devices of 2016 especially when it came to the camera performance, design and build quality. However, the small size often put off many prospective buyers who needed a larger device and perhaps something more powerful too.

Huawei’s brand Honor launched the Honor 6X smartphone with dual camera setup in India a few weeks back. The Honor 6X sports a 12-megapixel camera with LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel for achieving the depth of field and background blur. Up until 2016, dual cameras on smartphones only referred to the cameras on the front and the rear of the device. The Huawei P9 which was last year’s flagship from the company has a Dual Leica lens sensor system with 12 Megapixels of resolution and a Sony IMX 386 sensor in each of them. The main purpose of a smartphone is to keep its owner connected. However, this doesn’t just mean keeping the user connected over calls and messages. Up until a few years ago, fingerprint sensors were regarded as some of the cool stuff that you got to experience in Sci-Fi movies and TV shows and not something that could be a practical implementation. However, since then, we have seen countless implementations of fingerprint scanners on smartphones and with each passing year, even the lower end smartphones are having this feature by default. While there have been improvements in terms of accuracy and speed, not many companies are recognizing the huge potential that can be unlocked.
