Samsung has finally started rolling out Android Pie update to Galaxy S9 and S9+. The stable Android Pie update based on One UI is rolling out to the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Germany. The update is released for those running on Android Oreo and Pie beta testers as well. The software version for the final update is G960FXXU2CRLI and G965FXXU2CRLI for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ respectively. Google Maps for Android gets auto-rickshaw as public transport mode in India starting from Delhi

Google has announced that starting today, commuters in Delhi will be able to see a new public transport mode; auto rickshaw in Google Maps. By selecting this mode of transport, commuters will be able to view suggested routes for the ride as well as the estimated auto-rickshaw fares. Worldwide smartphone shipments expected to further decline by 3% in 2018, will return to growth in 2019: IDC

According to IDC, worldwide smartphone shipments are expected to decline by 3% in 2018 before returning to low single-digit growth in 2019 and through 2022. Despite the on-going US-China trade war, IDC says that it believes that continued developments from emerging markets, combined with potential around 5G and new product form factors, will bring the smartphone market back to positive growth. Android Trojan said to be stealing money from PayPal accounts even with 2FA enabled

A new report from security researchers suggests a new trojan preying on Android users.
