YouTube Go beta app for Android officially launched in India

YouTube has officially launched beta version of the YouTube Go app for Android in India. It was first announced back in September last year on its its 18th birthday. YouTube Go comes with offline video viewing and sharing. It is aimed at users who have slow internet connection and are concerned about their data usage.

Over 180 Million Indians are watching videos on mobile, says YouTube

YouTube has announced that more than 180 million Indians are watching videos on mobile phones. The video sharing service revealed that 2016 was the year of online creators in India with 14 creators hitting 1 million subscribers every month.

Google announced YouTube Go app with offline viewing and sharing of videos back in September last year on its its 18th birthday. Today it has finally released the beta version of the app in India. The app has 8 Indian languages – Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu,Kannada, Gujarati and Malayalam or you can choose English.

YouTube will now offer more local language content in India

YouTube is adding a new feature for its users in India. The video service will now show more local language content on Home and Trending. YouTube will automatically identify your preferred regional languages based on your watch history. It will support Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
