RIM is certainly on the offensive this year and its also taking the Indian market seriously. Many new handsets in  GSM, CDMA and now another service is being launched. Nokia Charger Replacement is just for Nokia 7210 in India

Nokia had initiated a global charger replacement program for 3 of it’s faulty chargers but looks like the problem affects a small group of Nokia users in India.Only Nokia 7210 which comes with the AC-3E charger and purchased after June 15th 2009 and before August 9th 2009 may be affected.This does not impact the usage or safety of the Nokia phone in any manner. Only the chargers which have been manufactured by a third-party manufacturer have been recommended to be replaced for free as a quality issue has been found

Google Maps adds New York Subway Layer

The Google Maps team always does some interesting work. The latest addition to GoogleMaps Mobile is Layer for the NYC Subway . If you are in a city which has a underground or any railway system, you are always forced to carry a map of the trains always so that you never get lost. When in London I was always carrying the TubeMap .  It’s humanly impossible to memorize the network of trains and routes especially when you are a first timer in a new location. But what I found interesting is that even locals use the maps so much to get from one place to  another. Now NewYorkers using the SubWay can celebrate . Nokia Booklet 3G at SEE2009

We spotted the Nokia Laptop – Booklet 3G at SEE2009. Bill Perry from Nokia was using this as a main computer to showcase publish.ovi.com. The booklet was connected to a TV via HDMI. Imagine using your laptop for a while and then you look at the battery indicator and it says 10 hrs remaining. HTC HD2 finally appears on T-Mobile website

The HTC HD2 has finally shown up on the T-Mobile website and according to the website its due to arrive this month so that means that it should be available anytime within 28 days. Funny part is that Coolsmartphone seems to have found some mistakes from the post. Here are a few of them:

  • the device is mistakenly called the HTC Touch HD2
  • the picture is actually of the original HTC HD
  • the device supposedly has ‘Android Market’
  • screen specifications are incorrect

Many analysts have called it the game over for Sony Ericsson but this is not stopping the folks at SE from innovating.The SE Satio was an impressive handset considering the Symbian implementation. And now the SE Xperia X10 with Android. Nice to see a brands going with multiple platforms these days. All this means healthy competition and more choice for the consumer.
