Nokia Supernova is here – 3 new handsets that redefine slick

At the moment it seems like a rumour. But the pictures of the Nokia Supernova series have been released on a few websites across Europe. Being touted widely as “girly” handsets (personally I would take offence to that), the Supernova series consists of three handsets, Nokia 7610, Nokia 7510 and Nokia 7310.

Nokia 7310 Supernova

The handset is based on the Nokia S40 user interface and sports a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.2-inch 16M color QVGA display, a built-in FM radio, stereo Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio jack.

This tri-band handset weighs only 83g.

145 euro which is approximately Rs 9600/-

Finally – Nokia N78 launched in India

Nokia finally launched the N78 in India equipped with a special feature – the ‘Location Tagger’ application, which automatically tags location data to the picture – allowing users to save pictures by date as well as by geographical coordinates.

At the launch, Vineet Taneja, Head-GTM, Nokia India said “The slim Nokia N78 fuses features in new ways.”

“It features location-tagging, which merges camera functionality and A-GPS to not only share pictures but also the places where they were taken. Users can now store all information about locations they visit using an image and share it online with the world. It also allows the fusion of music, camera and internet, enabling users to generate content right from the palms of their hands,” he added.

Fring – Its Update Time

FringLand, the company behind Fring, the popular VOIP software have announced an update to their popular product.

They have released two versions, one for their Symbian version and the other for their Windows Mobile Version. There is yet no news as to why they have not released an update for their Symbian UIQ version.

For symbian S60, this in version 3.35 is more stable than ever and also brings all round better sound quality. Speakerphone support is added for devices running on top of Symbian 9.2 (S60 3.1), and file transfer is now enabled for Yahoo! IM and Skype. Continue reading “Fring – Its Update Time”

LG KC 550 – 5 MP camera for a budgeted price

LG is out with a new 5 megapixel camera phone – the KC550. The handset is just 14mm thick.

It has a Schneider-Kreuznach auto-focus optics with an Image stabilizer.

This slider is a Tri-Band handset that comes quite well equipped for various media functions like a media player, FM radio, video and image editors and even motion sensitive games that work with the KC550’s integrated accelerometer sensor. Sony Ericsson Xperia got a tad sexier

Well news is there from Sony Ericsson Blog that The yet to release Ultimato Mobile Monster the EVERYTHING inside me mobile phone The Sony Ericsson XPeria just got a tad sexier and a new variant in just the color ofcourse. The X1’s official site has dropped a few shots of the handset in a second color called Steel Silver that show a new XPERIA panel key and some new branding below the screen. Well it does look hot and who wouldnt love to have two color variants of the device.

Skyfire gets funding Opera and iPhone get some competition

All of you might know about Opera Mobile and Opera Mini which is one the most popular mobile browsers. Apple iPhone with its Safari browser is the best mobile browser I have ever come accross

The cool thing about SkyFire is that it address the short comings of other mobile browsers like the WebKit based ones – Symbian S60, iPhone and Opera, Mobile IE etc.

The biggest problem with mobile browsing is the inability to match the look and content order with the PC.

Two new economy handsets by Philips

Philips has unveiled two economy mobile phones — Philips 198 and 199. These handsets are similar to each other with the only difference being the FM Radio feature in Philips 199 model.

The handsets will be rolled out only in Asia and Europe initially.

Arun Sarin Steps down from Vodafone CEO post

May be being an Indian Himself he knew VodaFone India did terribly poor services and most of the subscribers are an unhappy lot.

Well thats not the reason why Arun is stepping down. Arun Sarin is Old He is 53 which is not quite old if he is working in India. Well Arun Sarin informed that he will retiring from the post of CEO of the worlds largest cellular conglomorate Vodafone. (PS Not in India though he is an Indian himself). In Depth Review Of The N82 BLACK

If there is one device that has launched enough punch last year it definitely has to be N82 and if there is something that generated more buzz and fervor than N82 then it was its Black Version. The black version is nothing a colored cousin of the original N82. Looking sexier and more royal, N82 Black is touted to be yet another marketing gimmick from Nokia, which is known to always release similar black versions of its popular models ranging from N70 to N95 yet all. These days it’s a trend for mobile enthusiasts to wait for Black versions of a popular N series Model before they make their purchase plans. It does make sense to do so. Obviously a black version of any N series mobile does look sexier and packs in more punch.

Samsung B200 The new Guru

Samsung have launched the successor to the highly successful B100 (Samsung Guru) model, the Samsung B200. One of the main strong holds for the Samsung model was the attractive series of ads they had promoted the product with. The product itself was meant to be a basic entry level model with no oomph value attached to it. It was a sturdy no frills model. What it did have was a whooping 9 hour continuous talk time battery life.
