PhotoCal with Event, is a new application for iPhone and iPad that arrange and view your photos more efficiently, while keeping you up to date on your events. It lets you arrange your images in chronological order and displays them on your monthly calendar view along with all of your upcoming appointments and errands. This app would be much useful to view photos based on a date, since it arranges the images according to the date they were taken and displays them on your monthly calendar view, instead of searching for a picture in the default camera roll. BlackBerry to shut down BBM Music in June

BlackBerry has started sending emails for BBM Music subscribers that BBM Music would be discontinued as of June 2, 2013. BBM Music is BlackBerry’s own cloud-based music service in partnership with several music giants Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI. BlackBerry Music was anounced back in August 2011, and it was launched it widely in the US, Canada, and Australia later in November 2011 after several closed beta trials. It has new weekly tournaments that would let you win bronze, silver and gold crown on the levels, play new weekly levels and earn power-ups through tournament mode. There are also daily rewards and option to send and receive gifts of power-ups with your friends. You can also share details about your accomplishments with friends. Chrome for Android has been updated to version 26 that brings the password and autofill Sync that was available in the Chrome Beta for Android last month. The Password sync would let you sync passwords easily, and the auto fill option lets you fill out forms quickly on a small screen. The new experimental data compression feature from the beta version is also available for the this stable version of Chrome for Android. It has a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) TFT display, run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera.  It has dual SIM support with dual standby and dual SIM Always On feature. LG has announced that the LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) is now on sale in Japan from NTT Docomo. It was announced earlier this year as the part of NTT Docomo’s Spring lineup in the docomo NEXT series. It packs a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Japanese variant is smaller than the International version that was unveiled in February. Google launches Blink rendering engine based on Webkit

Google has announced today that it is forking Webkit to launch a brand new rendering engine called Blink. Blink will be focussed on speed and simplicity and will be a part of Chromium. The rendering engine will also power future versions of the Chrome app for phones and tablets.

Twitter updates its mobile apps, Android version goes HOLO

Twitter, the world’s only realtime social network has updated its mobile apps today. It includes a major update for Android and minor updates for Twitter for iPhone and the mobile web app. The main improvement of the Android app is that it has finally went HOLO, the design language that Google has been preaching to third party devs since 4.0 ICS, with blessings from lead designer Matias Duarte. Minor improvements to all the apps is that they get improved cards support with deep linked app links inside the details page.

SkyDrive updated for iOS, brings iPhone 5 support and high resolution image downloads

SkyDrive, the cloud storage solution from Microsoft has its app updated for iOS finally, after a long time. The reason it took so long was due to Apple wanting a cut from Microsoft for an in-app subscription model for SkyDrive storage upgrades, initially planned for the iOS app. The app was reportedly re submitted a number of times until now, when Apple and Microsoft have finally come into a consensus on what to do with the IAP type subscription. Microsoft now doesn’t have an option for storage upgrade inside the app but users can always upgrade the storage from the web.

The features of the are slightly better than the Galaxy S2 Plus that went on sale in India recently. It is expected to come with a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen display and run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz UI and Nature UX. The site listing says that it would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip with Adreno 203 GPU, but the Vietnamese site tinhte.vn speculates that it might feature a Snapdragon 200 processor.
