Byond Tech has launched 3 new Android tablets in the Laplet series that offers portability of a tablet and the functionality of a laptop. These come with a keyboard that is convenient for typing. The Mi-book L1 and L1 come with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, while the Mi-Book L9+ comes with a 9-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display. These tablets run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS and are powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. Sony has launched 2 new portable chargers CP-F1L and CP-F2L in India. These chargers let you power your smartphones, tablets and portable devices on-the-go. The CP-F1L is 9.4mm thick, weighs 125 grams and has battery capacity of 3,500mAh. The CP-F2L is 12.9mm thick, weighs 198 gram and has battery capacity of 7,000 mAh. Gmail v4.2.1 update for Android 4.0 and 4.1 brings pinch-to-zoom, Swipe to delete and more features

Google has updated Gmail for Android to version 4.2.1 that brings pinch-to-zoom feature for emails and a swipe to archive or delete to quickly delete or archive a mail from you inbox or sent for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) devices . You can also attach photos and videos within Gmail and view larger photo previews in attachments. The update leaked few months back and it was available in the Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) on Google Nexus devices. Evernote has updated their Skitch app for Android to version 2.0.4 that brings new features including options to customize annotations on Skitch images and make annotations easier, two-finger pan support, bug fixes and more. Sony Xperia P, U, Sola and Go new Android 4.0.4 update brings bug fixes and performance improvements


Sony Mobile has started rolling out new Android 4.0.4 (Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.54) update for Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go. This update brings bug fixes and performance improvements including improvements to stability,WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging. Sony rolled out ICS update for Xperia P starting from August and for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia G starting from September earlier this year. LG Optimus L9 launched in India at Rs. 23000


LG has launched the Optimus L9, their new Android Smartphone in the L-Style series in India. It was announced back in August and went on pre-order in India last week. It has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. Airtel launches Emergency Alert Service


Airtel has launched Emergency Alert Service for their customers. This new 24×7 service lets them alert a pre-defined group of up to 10 mobile numbers automatically during emergency. Instead of sending messages to everyone during an emergency, subscribers can SMS SAFE to 55100 to let their loved ones know that they are safe along with their location. Facebook Photo Sync feature starts rolling out for Android, iPhone and iPad apps

 

 

Facebook started testing Photo Sync feature for their Android, iPhone and iPad apps back in August. Now they have started rolling out the feature to everyone. There is no app update for this feature, you just get a notification when you open the Facebook app to enable Photo Sync feature. This automatically uploads entire photos in your phone as you capture. You can also sync your entire phone photos, and you get 2GB of storage for it. The auto photo upload feature is already available on Google+ as instant upload and in Dropbox as Camera Upload. Nokia launches PhotoBeamer image sharing app for Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has launched PhotoBeamer app exclusively for Lumia phones (Lumia 820 and Lumia 920) running on Windows Phone 8. This app lets you to share images from the phone easily just by pointing the device on the QR code on photobeamer.com. This uses Scalado’s technology that was first released on PhotoBeamer iPhone back in May. After Nokia acquired Scalado, the team has worked hard to bring the app to Windows Phone 8 devices. Symantec has released Norton Mobile Security for iPhone and iPad. It lets users keep their device secure, recover a lost or stolen device and prevent strangers from accessing their information. Karbonn A15 Dual SIM Phone with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 5899

Karbonn A15, the company’s new Dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most of the features are similar to the A11 that was launched last month, but the A15 has just a 3MP Camera with Face Detection instead of a 5MP Auto Focus camera with Flash, and lacks a front-facing camera. LG Optimus G Review

You saw the unboxing of the LG Optimus G last month. Here is the complete review of the phone. The Optimus G is a joint effort from LG Mobile, LG Chem, LG Innotek and LG Display. LG’s launched their first quad-core Android Smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor in India back in July, that even got a price cut last month. The Optimus G has a powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Even though the Xiaomi MI-2 was announced in China with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Optimus G is the first global device to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor.

The Galaxy Camera is a Smart Camera that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch LCD Display.
