Intex iTab now available for Rs. 8900


Intex has reduced the price of their iTab that was launched in March for Rs. 11,900.  The Intex iTab has 8-inch capacitive display and is powered by 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has front video calling camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. It has 8GB internal memory which is expandable upto 32GB. Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA now available in India for Rs. 7490

Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. Samsung launched the Galaxy Y in India last October and the Dual-SIM Galaxy Y Duos earlier this February. It has 3-inch (320 x 240 Pixels) display similar to the GSM version but has 600 MHz processor instead of 832 MHz processor and comes with a 2 MP camera at the back. Samsung launches Galaxy S3 in 28 countries, to be available in 145 countries by July

Samsung has officially announced that it has launched the Galaxy S3 in 28 countries today in Europe, Middle East and Africa including, United Kingdom, France, UAE and Saudi Arabia. They plan to launch in a total of 145 countries across 296 carriers by July. This is more than that of the previous Galaxy S series phones. The Galaxy S was launched in 112 countries with 175 operators and the Galaxy S2 was launched in 135 countries with 210 operators. Sony Xperia S running Android 4.0 surfaces in a video

Sony Xperia S running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) has been spotted in a demo video from Thai site SonyXP. The video shows the music player which is called Walkman app and the new gallery. LG unveils 5-inch smartphone display with 1080p HD resolution

LG has unveiled 5-inch Full HD LCD display panel for smartphones. This is based on AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) technology that features 440ppi pixel density and 1920×1080 pixel resolution. This would offer the smartphone users enjoy Full HD content on their smartphones as on TVs and monitors. The LG Optimus Vu had 5-inch (1024×768 Pixels) IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio. Motorola Android 4.0 UI shown off in demo videos

Motorola has released Android 4.0 demo videos. It has completely new UI with new lock screen and it’s pretty much similar to the stock version of the Android other than the 4 shortcuts like phone and messages in the lock screen instead of 2. LG LTE smartphone sales surpass 3 million globally

LG has announced that they have sold more than 3 million LTE smartphones globally. The Optimus LTE global shipments crossed the 1 million mark earlier this January.  LG announced the Optimus LTE in Korea last October and launched the LG Optimus LTE L-01D in Japan in December. Sony to roll out Android 4.0 update for remaining 2011 Xperia devices starting next week, No ICS for Xperia Play


Sony Mobile has announced that they would start rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for remaining 2011 smartphones; Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman starting next week. They started rolling out the update for 2011 Xperia devices in last month after it was delayed. The update started rolling out in India at the end of April for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray. Reliance launches new 3G Netconnect data plans

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has launched new Netconnect 3G data plan called My Best Plan, that is said to offer over 90% saving per month compared to other plans available in the market. The My Best Plan would offer 1 GB 3G data for Rs. 250 per month and 2 GB of 3G data for Rs. 450 per month and 6 GB of 3G data at speeds upto 21Mbps for Rs. 1250 and unlimited usage (speed throttled to 64 Kbps) beyond 6 GB at no extra cost. BlackBerry Curve 9320 launched in India for Rs. 15,990


Research In Motion (RIM) has launched the BlackBerry Curve 9320 in India. The Curve 9320 was announced earlier this month and is the 3G version of the Curve 9220 that was launched in India last month. It has 2.44-inch (320×240 pixels) TFT display with a QWERTY keyboard and is powered by on 806 MHz processor.
