Opera for Android and Opera for desktop are getting new updates that bring a quite a few new user experiences. These include the newly redesigned Sync feature, along with the Flow feature and Suggested Sites feature for the Opera Android version and a Easy Files feature for Opera desktop version.

Google has announced the launch of a new Android TV update that will be based on Android 11. With it, Google is improving OS performance and privacy features, added many under-the-hood improvements and updated developer tools for testing and deployment.
When Xiaomi entered the Indian laptop market with the launch of the Mi Notebook, they created quite a stir, offering good specs on a laptop that was well-built and more importantly, priced right. They released two variants — the regular Mi Notebook and the premium Mi Notebook Horizon Edition. I reviewed the Horizon Edition at launch, and I was positively happy with Xiaomi’s first attempt. I did however point out in the review that the top end model did not necessarily have the best bang-for-the-buck. WhatsApp has released a new beta app version 2.20.201.1 for Android that contains a new feature they are testing – Expiring Media. The feature is said to work similar in ways to Snapchat and disappearing media in Telegram where received media will disappear after the user leaves the chat.

LG Electronics has announced the launch of their 8K OLED ZX series, their GX Gallery series TVs and 8 new models in the OLED TV, Nano-cell lineup in India. The 8K capable TVs feature LG’s newest α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI 8K Processor and the 8K Ultra HD certification from the Consumer Technology Association, while the GX Gallery series features their minimalist wall mountable designs in a an ultra-thin form factor.
SNOKOR, an audio company from smartphone manufacturer Infinix, has announced the launch of their iRocker Stix truly wireless earbuds and their Bass drops wired earbuds in India. The iRocker Stix feature a multi-function button , 16 hour battery life, Type-C charging and more.

Lately, LG has been known as the company that is releasing weird and quirky phones like the LG Wing. While it is great that LG is trying out new form factors for smartphones, what is not great is their track record with software updates. Google has announced a new partnership with VISA that will enable direct card payments on the app via a Tap-to-pay feature, with support on AXIS bank and SBI cards at launch. The feature will use the tokenization method to authenticate payments made by users at NFC-enabled POS terminals and online merchants.
