In a major blow to the company, the United States Department of Defense (DOD) has added Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi to a blacklist of companies that allegedly are controlled by the Chinese Military. In response, Xiaomi has strongly objected to these claims and denied having connections with the Chinese military.

NETGEAR, a popular manufacturer of networking products, has announced the launch of their first ever Wi-Fi 6E router, called the Nighthawk RAXE500 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router. Along with it, they also announced the Nighthawk 4G LTE Wi-Fi 6 Router, the LM1200 4G LTE Modem and the WAX214 and WAX218 APs.

Along with the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Buds Pro, Samsung also announced the launch of the Galaxy SmartTag at its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event. The small device is essentially Bluetooth-enabled location tracker that is battery powered and can be used to track small objects like keyrings, etc., similar to Tile trackers.

After months of rumours, Samsung has launched their next generation truly wireless buds at their Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event, called the Galaxy Buds Pro. Samsung has made a number of improvements over the previous generation, the most notable one being the addition of active noise cancellation (ANC), along with improved sound and call quality, and enhanced connectivity between Galaxy devices.
With the launch of AMD’s new 5000 series mobile GPUs and NVIDIA’s new RTX 30-series mobile GPUs, ASUS has announced 3 new laptops powered by them. These include the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE, the ROG Strix SCAR 17 and the ROG Flow X13, and they announced the XG Mobile which is an external GPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU inside.
NVIDIA has announced their next GPU in the 30-series GeForce RTX series, called the GeForce RTX 3060 priced at Rs. 29,500 in India, and it costs $329 in the US. It is built on the Ampere architecture, featuring 12GB of GDDR6 memory, second generation RT cores, 3rd generation Tensor cores, support for NVIDIA Reflex technology and more.
Samsung has updated their entire range of Air Conditioners for the year 2021 in India, across the Wind-Free, Convertible 5-in-1 and On/Off AC series. These new ACs feature new technologies and smart controls such as a PM 1.0 Filter, AI Auto Cooling, and they utilize green R32 Gas and a Copper condenser.
Acer has refreshed their Predator and Nitro lineup of gaming laptops, updating them with Intel’s latest 11th Gen Core H35-series CPUs and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Laptop GPUs. Four new laptops were announced, which include the Predator Triton 300 SE, the Predator Helios 300, a 15-inch and 17-inch variants of Acer Nitro 5.
After much anticipation, AMD has finally unveiled their newest Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile processors that are based on their powerful Zen 3 architecture. AMD introduced 13 new 5000 series mobile CPUs, and they announced new Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors along with two new 5000 series desktop processors.

Lenovo has announced the launch of the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, which is their thinnest-ever Thinkpad laptop that is designed around the Intel Evo Platform. Along with it, Lenovo also released the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9, X1 Yoga Gen 6 and the ThinkPad X12 Detachable laptop.
During last year’s CES event, Sony unveiled their first ever prototype electric vehicle, called the Vision-S. The company has now announced at its CES 2021 event that the Vision-S has begun testing the vehicle on public roads in Europe.

After receiving a lot of backlash and losing a lot of users to Telegram and Signal, WhatsApp has posted a new FAQ detailing what information is not collected and not shared with its parent company, Facebook.

LG will soon become the first TV manufacturer outside of Google TV to natively support Google’s Stadia game streaming service on its webOS TV platform. The service will become available to webOS TV users as an app later in the year, with support for 4K resolution and 5.1 channel surround sound.
