Google reduces Play Store service fee to 15% for developers earning less than $1 million

Google has announced that they are reducing the service fee that they charge for developers who sell in-app digital goods and services on Play from 30% down to 15%. This discount will be applicable to app developers until the first $1 million they earn that year, after which the fee would return to the standard 30%.

Dropbox is bringing Password manager to free users

Dropbox, a popular cloud storage service has announced that their password manager service called Dropbox Passwords will be made available to all free users. The service originally launched for Dropbox Plus and Dropbox Professional users, and will be included in the free Dropbox Basic plan in April’21.

2nd Gen Google Nest Hub smart display with built-in Soli, Sleep sensing feature announced

Google has announced their second generation Nest Hub smart display, after more that two years since they launched the original back in 2018. It features some new technology such as a dedicated on-device machine learning chip, a built-in Soli chip for music controls and sleep tracking, along with improvements over the first gen Nest Hub.

AMD unveils Ryzen PRO 5000 Series Mobile Processors for business laptops

Global wearable market shipped 444.7 million units with 28.4% YoY growth in 2020: IDC

In 2020, the global wearable market witnessed significant growth all throughout the year, shipping a total of 444.7 million units, which calculates to a growth of 28.4% YoY. During the fourth quarter alone, the market shipped 153.5 million units, growing by 27.2% YoY.

Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55-inch Review

In the last 2 years, the Indian smart TV market saw a huge influx of products from many smartphone manufacturers. One of the biggest companies among them is Xiaomi, who first launched the Mi TV 4 back in February 2018. Since then their portfolio in the smart TV has expanded, and they now offer 9 TVs, across two product series and various sizes ranging from 32 inches to 65 inches. The Mi TV QLED 4K in particular comes in 55 -inch variant and here is our review of the device.

Xiaomi receives relief as US Judge suspends US DoD Blacklist decision

Back in January, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) released a blacklist of 9 companies that they claimed to be under the control of the Chinese Military, among which Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi was included. After contesting the decision last month, a U.S. federal judge has now temporarily blocked the DoD from enforcing the consequences of the decision.
